The first two episodes of Kylie Minogue’s new documentary, Kylie, focused heavily on her relationship with Michael Hutchence, the lead singer of INXS. The series revealed that they began dating after Kylie’s romance with her Neighbours co-star, Jason Donovan, ended. They first met behind the scenes at an INXS concert.

The singer got emotional when talking about her time with Michael, revealing she experienced many firsts with him, even heartbreak. Kylie described a deep connection with him, explaining that he was a constant source of support and always encouraged her to be true to herself.

Kylie has said that talking about Michael during the documentary was the first time she’d ever cried during an interview while filming.

She said she had a feeling something was coming, and it finally did. She didn’t expect it to be triggered by that particular conversation, but whenever she thinks or talks about him, she can still feel like he’s there and is reminded of that moment in time.

The famous singer explained that while talking about Michael on camera, she actively tried to relive those memories to genuinely feel more emotional, and she found the experience quite revealing.

I was absolutely devastated when I heard about Michael Hutchence’s death back in 1997. He was found in his hotel room in Australia, and it was ruled a suicide. It was such a shock, and still feels incredibly sad to think about.
