Stone Island and New Balance are releasing a new summer collection, called SUMMER_’026, on June 4th. It includes clothing for both everyday wear and playing sports – featuring shoes, apparel, accessories, a full football kit, and a match ball. This collaboration represents the brands’ biggest effort yet to combine their expertise in material innovation. The campaign features football stars Endrick and Bukayo Saka, and was photographed by Bolade Banjo.

The ABZORB 1890 trainer is the most technologically advanced shoe in the collection. It’s built on the classic 2002 sole, featuring ABZORB SBS cushioning throughout for exceptional comfort. A special polyurethane foam insert adds to the shoe’s performance roots and meets Stone Island’s high standards for quality. The upper is made of lightweight ripstop mesh with seamless synthetic overlays, creating a unique wave-like design that’s both stylish and strong. Details include a reflective accent at the toe, suede around the base with subtle prismatic detailing, and speckled laces. The insoles feature a clever touch: the left displays the Stone Island logo, while the right shows the New Balance logo – a thoughtful detail that adds to the shoe’s overall design.

The Nylon Prismatico-TC Hooded Jacket features Stone Island’s signature material: a lightweight nylon fabric bonded to a polyurethane film. This creates a unique, subtly textured surface that appears fluid and dimensional when you move. It’s an updated version of the brand’s well-known Mussola Prismatica fabric. The same material is used for a matching training bag, offering a complete look. Alongside this, a reversible track jacket and trousers made from bi-colour, resin-coated ripstop offer versatility. Completing the collection are comfortable pieces like an organic cotton fleece sweatshirt, garment-dyed jersey, shorts, and a T-shirt, all in a palette of juniper green and ivory white.

The football kit is made from recycled polyester with a unique design that blends the Stone Island Compass, New Balance logo, and signature two-stripe pattern. The jersey and shorts feature a special flocked branding, while the socks have breathable mesh areas for comfort and performance. The kit is completed by a high-quality football, created with 32 bonded panels and a textured surface for improved flight and water resistance. More items from the collection will be revealed on June 4th when it officially launches.

I’m so excited! The Stone Island and New Balance collaboration – the SUMMER_’026 capsule – drops on June 4th. You’ll be able to snag it at certain Stone Island shops and online, so I’m already planning where to get mine!
