Manchester City Women and PUMA Celebrate Record-Breaking WSL Season

Manchester City Women‘s team brought the city to life with blue on Sunday, celebrating their 2025/26 Women’s Super League win – their first championship title in ten years.

We’ve been on an incredible run lately – thirteen wins in a row, and we’ve scored a crazy 58 goals! Honestly, we all knew the WSL title was within reach for weeks, and it finally happened! Lifting that trophy after beating West Ham last Saturday was an amazing feeling.

Manchester City Women’s captain, Alex Greenwood, said on the Club’s website that their championship win was earned through ten months of dedication both during training and in their personal lives. The team always had confidence in their ability to win the WSL, but it wasn’t easy – it took a huge team effort and a special connection between the players that’s hard to describe.

The team received a celebratory homecoming event at the iconic Albert Hall, thanks to PUMA. Over a thousand fans joined the players in celebrating their achievements. Each player also received a unique jacket made from this year’s jerseys by Vintage Threads, and the celebration featured a performance by the DJ group Girls Don’t Sync, alongside the team’s championship trophy.

The party wasn’t just a celebration of the team’s hard work, but also a chance to recognize each player’s achievements. Head coach Andrée Jeglertz was especially honored for becoming only the second manager in WSL history to win the league title during their first season with the club.

As a huge fan, it’s been incredible to watch this team stick together through thick and thin – that’s what champions do, right? And honestly, this season isn’t over yet! We’ve still got so much to play for, not just now, but for years to come. I’m genuinely excited to see what this amazing group of players and this fantastic club can achieve in the future.
