Aniplex announced that it will be closing its popular 3D action RPG, AlternaVvelt Blue Exorcist AS, on June 22, 2026. The game, which was first announced in December 2023 and launched in June 2025, will have been running for just over a year when it shuts down.
The game is saying goodbye early, as the devs can no longer continue the service
Okay, so I’ve been playing AlternaVellt Blue Exorcist AS, and it’s a really cool 3D action RPG based on the Blue Exorcist anime and manga. You actually play as the main character, and it’s got a brand new, fully voiced story with some characters I hadn’t seen before! Basically, you take on missions, train to become an Exorcist, learn how to use these cool Demonic Elements, and just fight a ton of powerful enemies. It’s pretty awesome!

The team behind AlternaVvelt Blue Exorcist AS announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the game will be discontinued on June 2, 2026. They explained that they couldn’t continue to offer a service that met player expectations.
You can enjoy the final story until EOS and continue with the offline version later
After the recent announcement, the game no longer allows in-app purchases and automatic Altex Pass renewals have been stopped. You can continue playing until the end of service (EOS), and the final story content will be released on June 1st following a short maintenance period. Once EOS arrives, the game will become available as a standalone, offline experience.
The offline update will be released after maintenance, but you’ll only have until September 30, 2026, to download it. It’s disappointing the game is ending, but I’m glad we’ll still be able to enjoy the story, battles, and True Cross Academy Town even after the online service stops.
