
Catherine O’Hara, the beloved actress famous for her work in films like Home Alone and Beetlejuice, and the recent hit series Schitt’s Creek, has passed away at 71.
Catherine O’Hara enjoyed a remarkable five-decade career in film and television, beginning with her early work on the Canadian sketch comedy show “Second City Television.” While she’s known for many roles, she’s particularly beloved as the mother in the “Home Alone” films and as Delia Deetz in both “Beetlejuice” and the recent sequel, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” Her extensive filmography also includes appearances in movies like “Argylle,” “Pain Hustlers,” and voice work in animated classics such as “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Frankenweenie.” Most recently, she starred in Seth Rogen’s film, “The Studio.”
