Genshin Impact Nicole Build Guide: Kits, best Team comps, Weapons and Artifacts explained

Story Highlights

  • Nicole is a new 5-Star Pyro Catalyst character arriving in Genshin Impact Version 6.6.
  • Her kit focuses on off-field Pyro application and team buffs.

Nicole is a brand-new 5-star character in Genshin Impact who uses Pyro and specializes in support. She’s a Catalyst user that can both deal damage as a sub-DPS and provide strong support, particularly for teams focused on the Hexerei playstyle. This guide will cover the best ways to build Nicole, including recommended weapons, artifacts, and team compositions.

Genshin Impact Nicole Build Guide: Kits Explained

Nicole is a character who supports the team by dealing damage and providing helpful buffs. She’s a Pyro catalyst, meaning she uses fire-based abilities. She can increase the team’s attack power, create a powerful Pyro shield, and deal area-of-effect damage even when she’s not actively on the field. Her abilities, particularly her Skill and Ultimate, are central to how she plays.

Elemental Skill

Once she uses her Elemental Skill, nearby teammates receive a buff called Grace of Kenosis. This buff boosts their attack power, deals Pyro damage to surrounding enemies, and creates a Pyro Shield. The shield’s strength, which absorbs Pyro damage, is based on her own attack power and is very effective – it absorbs 250% of incoming Pyro damage.

Elemental Burst

Once Nicole uses her Elemental Burst, she deals area-of-effect Pyro damage and enters a special mode called Silent Contemplation. While in this mode, whenever a teammate attacks an enemy, Nicole will summon an Arcane Projection that also deals area-of-effect Elemental damage. The amount of damage from the projection is based on the attacking teammate’s Attack stat and is credited to them.

This ability activates every 3 seconds, and Nicole can use it up to four times whenever she enters Silent Contemplation.

Passive Skills

  1. Methexis: For 20 seconds after unleashing the Elemental Skill, she uses the Guidance of Theosis effect, which increases active character ATK by 300 if the active character stays on the field for more than 3seconds.  If the active character is a Hexerei character, then the character will receive this buff instantly.
  2. Philokalia: When Elemental DMG from nearby active party members hits an opponent, Nicole’s own Grace of Kenosis effect is upgraded to Guidance of Theosis for 8s.
  3. Witch’s Eve Rite: Light in the Darkness: This passive unlocks after completing her Witch’s Homework: The Role of a Guide. When the party includes at least 2 Hexerei characters, we gain the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect. This effect increases the DMG dealt by Hexerei characters’ Arcane Projections by 300% of Nicole’s ATK.

Genshin Impact Nicole Build Guide: Constellations

Constellation Effects
C1 Nicole summons an additional special Arcane Projection that deals damage corresponding to the Elemental Type at 600% of their ATK. This effect can trigger once every 6s.

This constellation increases her personal damage. A decent cone for increasing team DPS.

C2 Enhances the effects of the Elemental Skill. The Grace of Kenosis effect now increases ATK by an additional 300.

Guidance of Theosis decreases nearby opponents’ Elemental RES against the corresponding character’s Elemental Type by 25%.

It’s her best constellation that increases the whole team’s damage several times.

C3 Increases her Elemental Skill talent level by +3.
C4 When Grace of Kenosis upgraded to Guidance of Theosis, Nicole bestows them with the Pathfinder’s Blessing effect for 20s. Each character can gain this effect once every 16s.

Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst DMG increases by 70% of Nicole’s ATK.

Another overpowered support constellation. This can increase any DPS damage.

C5 Increases her Elemental Burst talent level by +3.
C6 When Nicole’s Grace of Kenosis is upgraded to Guidance of Theosis, all nearby party members’ Grace of Kenosis will also be upgraded to Guidance of Theosis.

In this state, characters will ignore 40% of opponents’ DEF.

It increases her damage a lot and also increases team damage.

Nicole is a very strong support character even without any constellations. However, if you’re looking for a significant damage boost for both her and your team without spending a lot of resources, her second constellation (C2) is the best option.

Is Nicole worth pulling in Genshin Impact

She’s a highly recommended character in Genshin Impact. If you already have a character who uses Hexerei, she can significantly boost their damage output. Her versatility allows her to fit into many different team compositions, making her a valuable addition to most player accounts. She’s one of the few characters who can effectively work with teams of any elemental type.
