DREAMHAUS and Vox Collegiate Turn a Classroom Into an Immersive Wellness Space

DREAMHAUS, an art and creative group based in Los Angeles, is partnering with Vox Collegiate, a middle school in South LA, to create “Vox Peak.” This new space, built within an existing classroom, is designed to be a calm and restorative environment for students, teachers, and community members. It will focus on helping people practice self-reflection, understand their emotions, and recharge.

Since 2017, DREAMHAUS has worked closely with Vox Collegiate. Last year, the school asked DREAMHAUS to help create a calming and supportive space – the kind of environment the school’s team members wish they’d had as students. DREAMHAUS used its unique design process to show how thoughtful spaces can benefit students’ mental well-being, beyond just traditional learning. The school hopes this project will inspire other schools to use creative design to build better environments for students in the future.

Vox Peak will officially launch in May, coinciding with Mental Health Awareness Month. The launch event is scheduled for May 30th and will include Vox’s first Wellness Fair, happening from 10 am to 12 pm Pacific Time.
