Spider-Man’s Hit TV Show Is So Good, It’s Already Renewed For 2 More Seasons

2026 is shaping up to be a huge year for Spider-Man, with several TV shows and a movie planned. One of the upcoming Marvel series is already proving popular, earning a renewal for two more seasons. The biggest Spider-Man release of the year is undoubtedly Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which brings Tom Holland back as the iconic web-slinger.

This movie is set to be a huge event within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, bringing together many heroes and villains to support and fight alongside Spider-Man. Beyond the film, Spider-Man will also lead three TV shows premiering in 2026 – two animated series and one eagerly awaited live-action Marvel show.

Prime Video will release Spider-Noir on May 27th. This live-action series stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly and offers a fresh look at the Spider-Man Noir character from Marvel Comics. However, it’s different from the popular Spider-Man series currently available on Disney+ which has been renewed for two more seasons.

As a huge Spider-Man fan, I’m thrilled to hear we’re getting not one, but two animated series in 2026! I’m especially excited for season two of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man – it’s great to see they’re bringing in characters like Venom and Gwen Stacy, and it’s fun seeing a different take on Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. But honestly, I’m equally happy that Spidey and his Amazing Friends is getting two more seasons! It’s perfect for introducing the youngest fans to the world of Spidey, and it’s just a really sweet show.

Spidey And His Amazing Friends Is Already Renewed For Two More Seasons (For A Key Reason)

“Spidey and his Amazing Friends” is a colorful and exciting introduction to the Marvel universe designed for young viewers. The animated series features Peter Parker as Spider-Man, Miles Morales as Spin, and Gwen Stacy as Ghost-Spider. As of 2026, four seasons have been released, totaling 19 episodes. Disney has already renewed the show for seasons five and six; news of the season six renewal was reported by Variety just a week before season five premiered.

The animated Spider-Man show, Spidey and his Amazing Friends, has accomplished something remarkable: it was the only Marvel series to reach Disney+’s Billion Hours Club in 2025. This means it outperformed all other Marvel movies and TV shows in terms of total viewing time. Given this impressive success, it’s no surprise that the show has already been renewed for two more seasons (5 and 6), even before season 4 has begun airing. The future looks very promising for this delightful Spider-Man series.

The Spider-Man Animated Series Should Not End Anytime Soon

Spidey and his Amazing Friends has the potential to run for many seasons beyond its current renewal. The show has access to a huge number of Marvel characters – both heroes and villains – and plenty of stories left to tell. It’s a great introduction to the Marvel universe for young children, and many are discovering these characters for the first time through the series. While characters like Captain America, The Thing, Green Goblin, and Doc Ock have already appeared, the show can continue to introduce creative new Marvel additions.

The Marvel universe is expanding rapidly, and the recent success of the Spider-Man animated series is a big part of that. The first spin-off, Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, launched in August 2025, and a crossover project, Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up!, featuring heroes like Hulk, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, and Captain America (Sam Wilson), followed. Because of this momentum, the Spider-Man series is expected to continue for much longer than the two additional seasons it has already been renewed for.
