You can now rent or buy The Drama, the critically acclaimed romantic comedy starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, in the UK. The film, written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, has been a major talking point this year.
The movie follows Emma and Charlie, a couple living in New York City and getting ready to tie the knot. But their wedding plans are complicated when Emma shares a secret she’s kept hidden for a long time.
The movie, which came out in cinemas in April, is now available to watch at home in the UK. You can rent it on Prime Video and Apple TV in Standard, HD, or Ultra HD for £15.99, or purchase it for £19.99.

Although some people found its topic controversial, the movie The Drama did well in theaters, earning $125 million on a $28 million budget. It also received positive reviews, with a 76% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 275 reviews.
Digital Spy gave the film three stars, describing it as both “often-uncomfortable” and “provocative.” We noted that if the goal of art is to spark conversation, The Drama certainly delivers, offering plenty to discuss after the credits roll.
What to Read Next
This movie doesn’t offer easy answers, and that’s perfectly fine. It’s designed to spark discussion and leave you thinking, and despite its imperfections, we’re always happy to see films that make you do just that.
Okay, so this movie is seriously messed up, but in a smart, strangely organized way. It’s definitely got moments that make you want to look away, but I couldn’t stop watching! The actors were amazing – honestly, everyone nailed their parts – and the story itself was just so gripping, I know I won’t forget it anytime soon. The Alliance of Women Film Journalists pretty much hit the nail on the head with that description.
According to The Observer, while Borgli’s writing is bold and sometimes pushes boundaries, the film truly shines thanks to the powerful performances of Zendaya and Pattinson. The film is also well-made from a technical standpoint.

The Chicago Reader offered a more reserved take, noting that while Zendaya and Pattinson’s performances were strong, the movie ultimately posed more compelling questions than it provided satisfying answers.
We won’t give away the film’s main surprise, but we’ve written about it in detail elsewhere. Our review points out that Borgli avoids simple humor and instead explores deeper, more serious themes, offering genuine insight rather than just shock value.
The Drama is available to buy or rent on Prime Video and AppleTV now.
