Tess Daly and Vernon Kay show they’re still friends amid report of ‘ugly new war’ following split

Tess Daly and Vernon Kay, who recently announced their split after nearly 23 years of marriage, were seen together at a local festival.

The ex-couple were spotted at Pub in the Park in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, over the weekend, happily taking pictures with fans.

The group was spotted enjoying the event with a lot of friends. Will Mellor, known for his roles in Coronation Street and Mr Bates vs The Post Office, was also there, and photos were taken of the three of them along with other guests.

This news follows a report in the Daily Mail on Sunday (May 17th) that the former couple is involved in a bitter dispute, despite previously stating their separation was friendly.

I was really sad to hear that Daly and Kay are splitting up. They put out a statement on May 8th saying they’d made the tough decision to separate, but that they’re doing it on good terms and still care for each other a lot.

Kay, known from the show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, publicly acknowledged his separation from Tess during his BBC Radio 2 show on May 11th. He said, “Both Tess and I want to thank everyone for their kind messages – we really appreciate the support.”

The pair recently hosted an episode of The One Show, which was the first time they’d presented a show together in almost 20 years.

Kay and Daly got married in 2003 in Horwich. They had two daughters, born in 2004 and 2009, and lived in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire for a number of years.

Last fall, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman said they were stepping down from hosting Strictly Come Dancing. Emma Willis is now a likely candidate to take over as one of the new hosts.
