BBC’s Celebrity Traitors lands best in category nomination for prestigious award

The popular reality show The Celebrity Traitors from BBC has been nominated for a TRIC award in the best game show category. Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, it’s competing against big ITV hits like The 1% Club, The Chase, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The winners will be revealed on Tuesday, June 23rd.

I love the TRIC Awards – it’s always a great night recognizing amazing TV! But what I really appreciate is that it’s about more than just awards. This year, they’re raising money for two fantastic charities, Refuge and Bright Young Dreams, which is just brilliant.

Several shows are also nominated, including Call the Midwife, Death in Paradise, the BAFTA-winning Adolescence, and Apple TV+’s Slow Horses. They’ll all be competing for the Drama award.

After winning at the BAFTAs, Stephen Graham, co-creator and star of Adolescence, told reporters he was incredibly proud of the show’s success, saying it had exceeded all expectations.

He explained that he felt honored to be a small part of something wonderful, comparing himself to just one piece of a larger, beautiful puzzle.

Gareth Pierce, famous for playing Todd Grimshaw on Coronation Street, is up for best soap actor at the TRICs awards. He’s joined by Paul Bradley, who played Nigel Bates on EastEnders. The daytime show This Morning has also been nominated. You’ll find the complete list of nominees below.
