Maya has hinted that a group of incredibly attractive contestants, both as starters and backups, are coming soon. The exact lineup of singles is still a secret and won’t be announced until closer to the show’s premiere.
ITV promises a dramatic summer filled with surprises, romance, and challenges as contestants search for love. Expect new faces, changing alliances, and plenty of sparks!
The new 2026 series is expected to deliver even more memorable, dramatic, and romantic experiences.

Love Island first aired in its current format in 2015. The original cast included stars like Josh Ritchie, Hannah Elizabeth, and Cally Jane Beech, and Jessica Hayes and Max Morley were the first winners.

The show has become incredibly popular around the world, spawning versions in other countries. ITV highlights its success, noting it’s the UK’s most-watched dating show with over 2.5 billion views on ITVX.
The main show will return for a 13th season in 2026, continuing after the ‘All Stars’ format. Last summer, Toni Laites and Cach Mercer won the competition, and other contestants who gained popularity included Shakira Khan, Yasmin Pettet, and Conor Phillips.
Helena Ford, Harrison Solomon, and Tommy Bradley came back to the villa for a second chance at finding love on the latest season of the All Stars spin-off, which aired in January and February of this year.
Love Island airs on ITV2 and ITVX, and the 2026 season will launch on 1 June.
