The Boys Series Finale Fails To Bring Closure For Gen V: “We Don’t End Their Storyline”

The Boys may be ending, but Gen V fails to find closure.

In a recent interview with TVLine, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke expressed his disappointment over the cancellation of the spinoff series, Gen V. He clarified that he wasn’t responsible for the decision and actively tried to save the show. Kripke also revealed he had plans to continue the storylines of the characters from Gen V after The Boys concludes.

We’re hoping this isn’t the last you’ve seen of those characters. Their story isn’t finished in ‘The Boys’; we’ve left things open so they can continue having adventures. They still have personal growth to experience, and that was a deliberate choice. We’d really like the chance to explore that further.

We had hoped to continue the story, and everyone involved worked really hard to make it happen, but unfortunately, it didn’t pan out. Luckily, because the show exists in a larger universe, we’re confident we’ll be able to revisit these characters and their storylines in the future. You’ll even see some of the ‘Gen V’ characters appear in the final episodes of ‘The Boys,’ and we’re already brainstorming ways to bring them back for more.

More to come…
