LEGO fans have enjoyed building their own Great Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda with a detailed set that first came out in Fall 2024. If you haven’t gotten yours yet, now’s the time – LEGO will be discontinuing the set later this year.
This LEGO set is now available in the “Last Chance to Buy” section, along with other popular builds like Hogwarts Castle from Harry Potter and the Dungeons & Dragons Red Dragon’s Tale. For $299.99, you can build the iconic Great Deku Tree, inspired by either Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild. The set contains 2000 pieces, letting you choose which version of the tree to build, or even buy two sets to display both!
Time Is Running Out to Order LEGO’s Great Deku Tree
Wes Talbott, the designer, explained that the Great Deku Tree was chosen as the first official LEGO Legend of Zelda set because it’s a memorable and iconic character. He emphasized the collaborative process with Nintendo, stating that working together allowed them to create a set that perfectly combined the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and LEGO.
Eiji Aonuma, producer of Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda series, shared his excitement about the game coming to the world of LEGO. He said it’s wonderful to see how LEGO inspires creativity in people of all ages, and the team specifically chose to recreate the Great Deku Tree as their first Legend of Zelda build.
Only 2 Sets Have Been Made So Far for The Legend of Zelda
The Great Deku Tree is one of only two official LEGO sets based on The Legend of Zelda. The other is “The Final Battle,” released earlier in 2026. This set costs $129.99 and can be purchased at the LEGO store. It’s made up of 1003 pieces and includes minifigures of Link, Princess Zelda, and Ganondorf.
Although the LEGO and The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree set is currently a farewell, more sets could be released in the future. With a Zelda movie coming to theaters next year – a live-action adaptation long anticipated by fans – and expected to be a box office success, we might see LEGO sets and other merchandise tie-in with the film. The movie is scheduled to premiere on April 30, 2027.
