A. Lange & Söhne has introduced a beautiful new version of its famous rectangular watch, the Cabaret Tourbillon Honeygold. It will be officially shown in May 2026 at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event on Lake Como, marking an important moment for modern watchmaking.

This new watch pays tribute to the groundbreaking 2008 Cabaret Tourbillon, which was the first to allow precise, one-second time setting on a tourbillon watch. It’s also a special limited edition – the 18th watch from the Glashütte manufacture to be made with HONEYGOLD®, a unique material known for its beautiful, warm glow.

This watch boasts a beautifully crafted dial made in-house, with a dark, black-rhodium finish. This dark background highlights sculpted, honey-gold details, creating a striking three-dimensional look. The raised elements – including classic Roman numerals, unique hour markers, and the watch’s signature large date display – are carefully hand-finished over several weeks, revealing the radiant gold beneath the dark surface.

The watch features a 29.5mm x 39.2mm case that’s 10.3mm thick. A large opening at the 6 o’clock position highlights the detailed tourbillon mechanism. The tourbillon’s bridge and cage are finished with a special “black polish” technique – a difficult and refined craft that makes the metal appear as a mirror from certain angles and completely black from others.

This watch is powered by a hand-wound movement, the L042.1, which was specially designed for its rectangular case. The movement has 370 individual parts, including 84 dedicated to an incredibly lightweight tourbillon weighing just a quarter of a gram. It beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and can run for up to 120 hours on a single wind. For pricing and availability, please visit the A. Lange & Söhne website.
