Sydney Sweeney goes bra free while debuting lingerie line… after making rare comments about Jonathan Davino split

Sydney Sweeney was seen in Los Angeles on Thursday wearing a low-cut white tank top and a cap, and did not wear a bra.

Her decision raised eyebrows, especially since she had just launched her new, somewhat provocative lingerie line, SYRN, on Wednesday.

She appeared in beautiful promotional photos shot by Ellen Von Unwerth and also graced the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine to help promote the product.

This news follows recent, unusual remarks she made about her former boyfriend, Jonathan Davino, a 42-year-old businessman from Chicago.

Sweeney said that she worked hard to keep the relationship ‘private.’

Sydney Sweeney told Cosmo that she kept her seven-and-a-half-year relationship completely private and never discussed it with anyone.

They went public in 2018 and got engaged in 2022. Last year they broke up.

‘I was very private. No one would ever see us. I think it’s important to have some things for myself,’ Sweeney continued.

I know people are interested in my life because I’m in the public eye, but I’m still young and learning about relationships. It’s difficult to navigate love when so many people have strong ideas about what it should be.

I spent my twenties really focused on my career, and now I’m ready to start enjoying life and having new experiences. It’s just a bit challenging figuring out how to handle romance when everyone is watching. I’m still learning how to deal with it all, really.

She added she spent ‘a few months of just crying my eyes out’ over the split.

And Sweeney was not sure she should move on, she said.

I’ve never been on a date, and I’ve never tried online dating. My friends who don’t work in this business say they just meet people when they go out.

The actress explained she doesn’t think she’d meet someone suitable ‘just at a bar,’ and admitted she finds it difficult to be by herself.

Sweeney wanted to make lingerie which ‘everyone feels really good in’.

The 28-year-old actress shared that she’s passionate about her work with the brand, emphasizing her desire to make sure all the clothes fit comfortably and look good on people of all shapes and sizes.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she explained that she intentionally works with an all-female design team and a diverse group of models. She wants to see her designs on all body types, believing it’s important that everyone feels good wearing them, and she doesn’t want to be the sole representation of her brand.

‘If I wouldn’t wear it, I wouldn’t want to make it.’

She shared that she’d brought an old bra to a team meeting to illustrate how crucial it is to get the right fit.

I’ll never forget when I was in sixth grade – I’d grown to a 32DD, and it was time for my first proper bra. I went shopping with my mom and found this beautiful silk wire bra. It was the only one that actually felt comfortable and made me feel good about myself, and I remember being so excited to finally have something that fit properly.

I wore the bra so much it eventually fell apart. I even took it to my support group meeting and showed everyone how much comfort and support it had given me.

It’s been a constant companion throughout my life, and that’s what I want for the bras I create – to be reliable and supportive for women. It’s surprisingly hard to find bras that offer great support without digging into your back.

Honestly, it really bothered me to hear people criticizing what I wore in ‘Anyone But You’ on Netflix. It was just a bikini, and it felt unfair. More than anything, I don’t want other women to feel self-conscious or judged for their bodies, no matter what they’re wearing. It’s just not right.

She talked about getting criticism for her outfit in the movie ‘Anyone But You.’ She explained that when you have large, natural breasts, a top that doesn’t fit well is likely to shift and reveal cleavage, and that’s what happened. She felt people were unfairly criticizing her for it.

It feels like I’ve constantly had to educate people about bodies, and I’ve experienced this throughout my life. I never want another young woman to feel the shame and scrutiny I did when I was judged for something I couldn’t change.

SYRN is a new brand hoping to compete with popular lines like Skims by Kim Kardashian and Savage x Fenty by Rihanna. It offers a wide range of sizes – 44 in total – and features four different styles designed to suit various moods: Comfy, Playful, Romantic, and Seductress.

As someone who’s spent years helping women feel their best, I’m so excited to finally share this with you! This isn’t just another lingerie line; it’s about reclaiming how you feel in your own skin. I created it because I believe lingerie should be for you – worn for your own confidence and comfort, with no need to explain or apologize for it. It’s about embracing all the different facets of who we are as women and feeling amazing in every single one.

I have a lot of different interests – I enjoy working on cars, water skiing, and even dressing up for fancy events. But I also love relaxing at home with my dogs. I’m complex, and that’s true for all women – we’re not defined by just one thing.
