Each season of The Traitors introduces a small change to keep things interesting. These aren’t major overhauls, just minor adjustments. This year, the first surprise was the ‘Secret Traitor,’ which added excitement to the opening week and immediately created chaos among the players.
Claudia recently revealed a new ability – wielding a dagger – and she made quite an entrance. She literally slammed the dagger into the dinner table to demonstrate it.
But what is this sharp and scary device?

What does the Traitors’ dagger do?
The player with the dagger gets two votes during the round table discussion. With just nine players remaining, that’s enough influence to swing the outcome.
What makes things even trickier is that the Traitors decide who gets the dagger. Will they give it to another Traitor, potentially creating a complex deception? Having the dagger immediately draws suspicion to whoever holds it.

Are they being given the dagger because the Traitors want them to vote incorrectly? If so, the other players should pay close attention to who the dagger-holder votes for and suspect the opposite.
Or have they got it because they’re a Traitor and need the power to remove their biggest threats?
This creates a really difficult situation for the Traitors. They need to figure out not just who has the dagger, but also how everyone else perceives that person – essentially keeping track of everyone’s opinions about everyone else all at once.
Is it any wonder Stephen usually looks like he’s about to blow steam from his ears?

Fans seem convinced Roxy is the right choice for the dagger:
Okay, so I was reading the reactions online, and someone pointed out something obvious: everyone thinks Rachel and Stephen are totally going to give the dagger to Roxy. She’s been super vocal about not trusting either of them as Traitors, so it makes sense they’d trust her with it, right?
“Give that dagger to Roxy,” said another, “She’s no danger to the Traitors.”
However, we think that’s a mistake. If the Faithful truly believe Roxy is one of them, they’ll likely see her nomination as proof she’s intentionally misleading them.
Playing it safe – unless they’re confident they can pull off a risky deception – would mean choosing someone unpredictable but generally trustworthy. Either way, this has significantly increased the pressure on the Traitors, making an already difficult situation even more challenging.
Good work, The Traitors…
