DJ B Jones, a well-known figure in Europe‘s music scene, shared heartbreaking news on Instagram Tuesday: she has been diagnosed with cancer.
Beatriz Martínez, the Spanish musician, revealed sad news to her fans in a heartfelt video.
Speaking from her hospital bed, Beatriz described making the video as ‘the hardest thing she’s ever done,’ but she hopes sharing her story will inspire others.
At 42, the artist has performed for huge crowds all over the world, including at major venues like Tomorrowland, Ushuaïa, and HÏ Ibiza.
Beatriz, a popular Instagram personality with over 346,000 followers, shared that she was filming a particularly challenging, yet motivating, video.
So, I wanted to share something personal with you all. I recently had a biopsy, and while the first results were encouraging – they thought it was a non-cancerous growth – it turns out I’ve been diagnosed with cancer. It’s definitely been a shock, but I’m facing it head-on and will keep you updated as I navigate this journey.

I have lymphatic cancer, but I’m determined to fully recover. I recently had a biopsy and surgery on my neck, and thankfully, the healing process is going well. I’m feeling strong right now and focusing on getting better.
Lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, which is a key part of your body’s defense against infection and illness. It’s essentially a part of your immune system.
She explained that she’ll be starting chemotherapy soon, and while she expects it to be difficult, she’s confident she’ll get through it.
Going through this health challenge, I’m really focusing on staying positive, and honestly, your support means the world to me. It’s a tough time, but I’m trying to remember that life has its ups and downs, and this is just part of the journey.
‘Now it’s my turn, but there are so many people going through this.
I’m planning to keep creating music, and I hope you’ll listen and have fun with it until I can perform live again.
Beatriz revealed she was having health problems earlier this year, before receiving a cancer diagnosis.
She shared that she was facing a health issue at the end of 2025, but didn’t yet have a diagnosis.

The DJ has made a name as one of the world’s most established artists.
She’s worked on many successful projects, including popular albums, collaborations with other artists, remixes, and live shows.
Beatriz made history in 2022 as the first Spanish artist to perform on Tomorrowland’s main stage.
As well as DJing, Beatriz runs her own record called Arryba Music.
She’s played at famous Ibiza clubs like Ushuaïa, sharing the stage with artists such as Kygo and Tiësto, and HÏ Ibiza, including sets at David Guetta’s Future Rave events.
