Gypsy Rose Blanchard ditches wig and fans can’t stop raving about her natural beauty

Gypsy Rose Blanchard sent fans into a frenzy on Tuesday with a bold new look on social media.

The 34-year-old woman, who spent eight years in prison for helping with her mother’s murder, recently traded her long wigs for a stylish, shorter brunette haircut.

Wearing a plain dark tank top with a heart on it, she posed like a model, looking effortlessly beautiful.

She ditched the extensions and wigs, revealing a confident, fresh style that fans loved.

‘A hot new bombshell has entered the villa,’ one fan gushed, perfectly summing up the reaction.

One fan excitedly wrote, “Wow, wow, wow!” Another person commented, “I absolutely love your hair – it’s iconic! You look amazing!”

Someone told me, ‘I really think you’d look great with longer hair. It’s gorgeous and seems so healthy!’

Fans continued to rave about her new pixie cut, calling it amazing, cute, and beautiful.

Last November, Blanchard posted a photo of her short hair on Instagram Stories and asked, ‘Why do people wear wigs?’

She shared that the hair in the photo was her natural texture, explaining she’d had to cut it very short after almost two years of bleaching damaged it severely.

Blanchard explained that she prefers not to have short hair, so she usually wears a wig while her hair regrows. She’s focused on giving her hair a chance to grow long and healthy again.

She recently surprised her fans again, following a dramatic makeover after losing 25 pounds earlier this year. This shows she’s comfortable with big changes to her appearance.

The television star posted a photo of herself looking noticeably thinner, happily posing with her husband, Ken Urker.

She embraced the warmer weather with denim shorts and a black leather top, showing off her confidence after giving birth to her daughter, Aurora, last December.

She shared another selfie, this time showing off her fit physique in a white tank top, jeans, and black ankle boots.

Okay, so I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my recent weight loss, and I wanted to address it directly. I’ve lost 25 pounds, and I’m sharing that with you all now. For a while, there was speculation about whether I was using medications like Ozempic or Mounjaro, and I previously said I wasn’t. I just wanted to be upfront about the results I’ve achieved.

In January, the survivor of Munchausen by proxy explained that her physique was achieved through dedication to yoga and other toning exercises, particularly focusing on her stomach.

She shared on Instagram that she’s been working on her health by purchasing some home gym equipment. She also clarified that she’s never used weight loss drugs and was fortunate to have a healthy pregnancy with minimal weight gain.

Blanchard had a daughter with Ken Urker on December 28th, a year after she got out of prison.

As a child, she pretended to be severely ill and used a wheelchair, a deception orchestrated by her mother, Claudine ‘Dee Dee’ Blanchard. Dee Dee shaved her head, gave her unnecessary medications, and falsely claimed she had leukemia and muscular dystrophy, convincing everyone around them of these illnesses.

The close relationship between Gypsy and her mother ended tragically in 2015. Gypsy, seeking freedom from her mother’s controlling behavior, allowed her online boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to enter their home in Springfield, Missouri, where he fatally stabbed Dee Dee, Gypsy’s mother, who was 48 years old.

She eventually admitted guilt to second-degree murder and served almost ten years in prison before being released on parole in December 2023.

She met Ken while she was in prison after he wrote to her. They began writing letters back and forth, and their relationship blossomed into romance. He proposed marriage in 2018.

After the Hulu series The Act—featuring Joey King as Gypsy and Patricia Arquette as her mother—became popular and drew a lot of attention to Gypsy’s case, she wrote in her memoir that her ex-husband, Ken, struggled with the sudden public scrutiny.

They ultimately split and she moved on with Ryan Scott Anderson, and they wed in July 2022.

Ryan was there for her release, but only three months later, reports surfaced that they had broken up.

Shortly after that, Gypsy announced she was back together with her ex-boyfriend, Ken, and later shared they were expecting a baby in July.

In a YouTube video, Gypsy discussed how her difficult childhood experiences would likely shape her approach to becoming a mother.

She explained that she wants to be the mother she always wished she had for this baby, and to provide everything she felt she lacked growing up.

Gypsy shared the story behind her baby’s name in an interview with People magazine last year.

She revealed that Ken was the one who originated the idea, hinting at a more complex story behind it. She added that some believe it’s connected to a Disney Princess.

She explained that some believe her stepmother’s fondness for the name Aurora Grace comes from Kristy’s dog, but she insists that’s not the reason.

Instead, Aurora was selected because of the couple’s shared love of the Northern Lights.

She remembered when she and Ken dated seven years prior, they both loved the Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, recalling their time together while she was in prison.

Around 2018, we each independently wrote down a name we liked for our future child, and surprisingly, we both chose Aurora!

Gypsy talked to A&E True Crime in March and opened up about how motherhood has changed her.

‘It’s made me a lot more mature. It’s made me really have to analyze my priorities,’ she explained.

After leaving prison, I longed for freedom and wanted to experience everything I’d missed. I was impulsive and lived in the moment, letting my feelings guide me.

Now that I’m a mother, I think much more carefully about the choices I make, because they impact my daughter’s life too.

Becoming a parent has caused Blanchard to reflect on her own childhood, including some experiences she considers negative.

I really want to be able to understand where my mom is coming from, but I just can’t say that I do right now. It’s hard to admit, but I don’t see things from her perspective.

That’s not quite right. Actually, I feel even more confused now, with more questions than answers. I simply don’t think the way my mother did, so it’s hard to connect with her experiences.
