Lori Loughlin ‘extremely angry’ with Mossimo Giannulli as new living arrangements are revealed after split

Lori Loughlin is reportedly still struggling emotionally after her divorce from Mossimo Giannulli became public.

In early October, news emerged that the couple was divorcing after 28 years of marriage. A friend claimed the actress found concerning texts and emails on her husband’s phone, leading to the split.

Later reports suggested the split happened because of ongoing issues stemming from the couple’s involvement in the well-known college admissions scandal.

In 2019, it was revealed that Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli paid $500,000 to someone who helped them falsely present their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, as top rowing athletes. They did this to get their daughters admitted to the University of Southern California.

I couldn’t believe it when it first came out, they kept saying they hadn’t done anything wrong! But then… then they both admitted to being part of the whole scheme. It was awful. Mossimo served five months, and Lori… Lori had to spend two months in prison too. Honestly, it just broke my heart to see it all unfold.

The situation between the actress and fashion designer is still tense. Sources say she’s very upset with him, and People magazine reports they’ve been living apart since their breakup, suggesting the split isn’t amicable.

The Daily Mail hasn’t received a reply after reaching out to representatives for both Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli for comment.

‘Lori is still extremely angry with him,’ a source told the outlet of the estranged exes.

According to a source, Lori Loughlin, 61, and Mossimo Giannulli, 62, have been living independently since their separation.

Despite the lingering tension, a third insider suggests the feeling is not mutual.

‘He thinks she’s a lovely person and an incredible mom,’ the insider says of the fashion designer.

The source adds that Giannulli is eager to avoid further conflict.

‘He wants everything resolved quietly.’ 

When news of their split first appeared, Lori Loughlin’s spokesperson told the Daily Mail that she and Mossimo Giannulli were separated and taking some time apart, but hadn’t filed for divorce or started any legal action.

Around the same time, the actress was seen leaving the Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles, where she embraced James Tupper, an actor she previously worked with on Great American Family and who was once in a relationship with Anne Heche.

Later that day, Giannulli was seen shopping in Beverly Hills with stylist Hannah Harrison, who is 32 years old.

Harrison quickly denied any rumors of a romantic connection, explaining to Us Weekly that their time together was simply work-related and happened at an inconvenient moment.

I visited the G/FORE Supply store without realizing they had just announced his departure. I was planning to meet with him there, and we were good friends, she explained.

The pair were later seen arriving together at West Hollywood nightclub Zouk in November.

Even though they’ve been seen out together, a source says Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are still on good terms and aren’t bitter about their split. In fact, the breakup is said to be much more peaceful than many assume, and Giannulli was even reportedly invited to Loughlin’s family Christmas.

According to a source, the Full House actor and the fashion designer are currently living apart and considering their options, with divorce seeming likely.

On October 20th, John Stamos, who starred alongside Lori Loughlin in Full House, discussed her separation from her husband on the Good Guys podcast.

‘She put up with a lot over the years of this guy,’ Stamos said.

She’s understandably heartbroken. Knowing she’s always been a good person, a wonderful mother, and a devoted wife, it’s just awful to see her going through a separation and the breakdown of her family. It’s truly upsetting.

According to Elizabeth Much, Lori Loughlin’s representative, the couple is currently separated and taking some time apart to re-evaluate their marriage. As of that time, they had not filed for divorce or initiated any legal action.

Lori Loughlin faced legal issues that meant she didn’t appear in the fifth season of Fuller House. However, she later returned to acting in a two-part Christmas special of the series, When Hope Calls, in late 2021.

Looking back on everything that happened in April 2024, Lori Loughlin shared with First for Women magazine how she dealt with the difficult situation and its impact on her life.

She said she makes an effort to forgive and doesn’t like to dwell on things. Everyone experiences difficulties, she added.

It’s common to need forgiveness at times, but truly asking for it means understanding and offering forgiveness to others as well.

She explained that her family was forgiving and didn’t dwell on past mistakes. Growing up, she always knew she’d be forgiven if she messed up.
