Sydney’s coolest celebrity hotspots where A-list stars including David Beckham, Kourtney Kardashian and Taylor Swift eat, stay and party

When it comes to celebrity sightings in Australia, nowhere compares to Sydney.

Okay, seriously, everywhere you look in this city now, it’s them. Like, one minute I’m grabbing a coffee at a cute little beachside cafe, and the next I’m pretty sure I just saw a reality TV star heading into this super fancy steakhouse hidden underground. It’s insane! This city has totally become a hotspot for celebrities and all those Instagram famous people. I’m obsessed, honestly!

From Margot Robbie enjoying drinks in Rose Bay to Rita Ora having a leisurely lunch in Coogee, these spots are now the places to see and be seen for celebrities in the city.

The Daily Mail has discovered Sydney’s most popular celebrity hangouts and is sharing which stars have been seen at each one.

Totti’s (Bondi, Rozelle, CBD)

There are few restaurants with as many celebrity sightings as Mike Eggert’s cult-favourite Totti’s.

Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon, and Taron Egerton have all been seen enjoying flatbread and burrata at the Bondi restaurant, and Martha Stewart recently praised it as one of her favorites.

Married At First Sight alumni Lauren Dunn and Evelyn Ellis are regulars.

Daniel Ricciardo and Justin Hemmes were also recently spotted.

Meanwhile, Nathan Cleary and girlfriend Mary Fowler were spotted at the Balmain location.

Bar 26, Lilyfield

Let me tell you, I’ve discovered a fantastic new spot in Sydney that’s quickly becoming the place to be. It’s still under the radar, but everyone in the know is predicting it’s going to be huge – seriously, keep an eye on this one!

Bar 26 is a hidden, New York-style bar located at the Otter Craft Distilling site in Lilyfield. It’s owned and run by siblings Eduard and Julie Otter.

It’s become a cult hit with craft spirit lovers and discerning cocktail fans.

The venue boasts a selection of small-batch, handcrafted spirits like OCD whiskies and vodkas, along with their popular Mary St Gin. Award-winning mixologist Flynn McLennan carefully curates a focused cocktail menu to complement these spirits.

Bar 26 is quickly becoming popular with a trendy crowd in the inner west, and many social media influencers are visiting to take photos and videos inside its atmospheric space.

Let me tell you, as someone who’s always on the hunt for great experiences, this place is quickly becoming the spot. Their house-smoked brisket is incredible, the wood-fired pizzas are seriously addictive, and their $12 Bloody Marys on Saturdays? They’re already building a legendary reputation – and deservedly so! It’s the kind of place everyone’s talking about, and I totally get why.

THE BLUE: Bondi

Bondi’s coolest new crash pad is fast carving out a name among Sydney’s most in-the-know crowd.

The Blue is a stylish, 33-room hotel located just a short walk from the beach. It’s become popular with stars from shows like Love Island and Married At First Sight, offering convenient beach access and a relaxed atmosphere, unlike more formal luxury hotels.

Former Love Island contestants Claudia Bonifazio, Tay Reid, and Tommy Armour have all arrived, and stars from Married at First Sight are also frequently visiting and staying in Bondi.

The Blue offers a comfortable and stylish experience, falling somewhere between a luxury Airbnb and a boutique hotel. It skips the stuffiness of traditional hotels, focusing instead on relaxing comfort. You can expect features like comfortable king-sized beds, large TVs, fast internet, and comfortable Chesterfield sofas – perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach, chatting with friends, or working on projects.

Forget traditional hotel fuss – no concierge, no complicated check-in, and no unnecessary extras. Instead, you’ll find stylish design, great value, and a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere that both travelers and the media are loving.

If you’re looking for formal luxury and traditional service, this isn’t the place. But if you prefer a relaxed, stylish vibe with a real Bondi Beach atmosphere, THE BLUE is quickly becoming a popular spot.

Mimi’s at Coogee Pavilion

This Merivale venue screams luxury – and so does its guest list.

Margot Robbie hosted a launch event for her Papa Salt gin, and Kourtney Kardashian was seen having dinner with her friends and family while visiting in 2024.

Celebrities like Zac Efron, Rita Ora, Delta Goodrem, and Nadia Bartel have all enjoyed meals at this restaurant. During the Logies awards week, the restaurant’s upstairs area is popular for important business lunches and after-party discussions.

Barber Brothers – Green Square and Cronulla

Even celebrities in Sydney need a good haircut, and Barber Brothers is where they’re going to get it.

I’ve been going to this brand’s stores for ages, and I have to say, they’ve really outdone themselves with the new flagship at One Global Resorts in Green Square! It’s quickly become the place to go – I’m seeing athletes and even stars from my favorite reality shows getting styled there all the time, alongside the original Cronulla location. It’s just where everyone who wants to look their best is heading now.

Mohamad Srour, a well-known barber, opened the shop, and it’s become incredibly popular in a short time. It has over 11,500 Instagram followers and counts many famous athletes among its customers.

A lot of big names in rugby league, including Sonny Bill Williams, Payne Haas, Pat Carrigan, David Fifita, Quade Cooper, Nicho Hynes, Damien Cook, Shaun Johnson, and Reece Walsh, have all been interviewed.

Barber Brothers isn’t just a place to get a haircut; it’s a popular hangout for Sydney’s top athletes. The shop’s stylish design and Srour’s skill in creating perfect fades and grooming styles have made it a go-to spot for them.

Pelicano, Double Bay

Pelicano is a popular spot in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, known for attracting a glamorous crowd – including socialites, fashion industry insiders, and stars from reality television.

Whether it’s Love Island contestants or Married at First Sight grooms, the venue’s upstairs booths and charming cobblestone courtyard are consistently among the most popular spots for photos in Sydney’s nightlife scene.

It’s where deals are whispered, flirtations start, and late-night stories are made.

Saint Peter, Paddington

Josh Niland’s popular seafood restaurant has attracted a worldwide fanbase, including celebrities like Margot Robbie, Nigella Lawson, and Liam Hemsworth. The restaurant has recently grown and is now located within the Grand National Hotel.

It’s small, discreet and attracts a polished foodie crowd.

The Gidley, Sydney CBD

Hidden below Elizabeth Street, this atmospheric steakhouse is a favorite among many famous musicians.

Drake stopped by for a meal during a quick visit to Sydney, and The Kid LAROI grabbed a late-night burger here as well.

This spot is popular with celebrities because it’s private, has comfortable velvet booths, and doesn’t allow phone use, letting them relax without being bothered.

Bistecca, Bridge Street

This popular Italian steakhouse is a hidden gem, known for its dimly lit, stylish atmosphere and loyal fans – it’s a favorite among celebrities, too.

Patrick Schwarzenegger made a quick appearance while promoting ‘The White Lotus,’ and musician James Vincent McMorrow was seen at the bar.

It’s also become a hotspot for stylists and publicists entertaining international talent.

Pellegrino 2000, Surry Hills

Taylor Swift’s fans recall a special moment from 2024 when she enjoyed a meal here with Sabrina Carpenter while on her incredibly popular Eras Tour.

Honestly, even before all the buzz, this adorable little trattoria was already a favorite of mine – and I quickly learned I wasn’t alone! I started spotting Melissa Leong, Sam Armytage, Abbie Chatfield, and Sylvia Jeffreys there all the time. It’s clearly a place those ‘in the know’ love!

You’ll need to join the waitlist – or know someone – to get in.

Bellevue, Woolloomooloo

Bellevue in Woolloomooloo is quickly becoming a popular lunch destination for people in the media and up-and-coming reality TV stars. It offers traditional bistro-style food with beautiful views of the harbor.

It’s becoming increasingly popular, with people in the media – like radio and TV professionals and social media influencers – choosing it for casual meetings during the week or weekend brunch.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always on the lookout for spots that strike the perfect balance, and this place definitely delivers. It’s chic and relaxed, creating a vibe where you can enjoy being out and about and connect with others, but without the overwhelming energy you sometimes find in more crowded, high-energy locations. It’s all about effortless style and a comfortable atmosphere.

Park Hyatt Sydney, The Rocks

When it comes to A-list stays, the Park Hyatt still reigns supreme.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m losing it! Renée Zellweger is here! And Lady Gaga! Can you believe it? Elton John too! Seriously, my heroes are all in one place. Nicole Kidman just walked by, and I swear I almost fainted. Even Jerry Seinfeld is here! And the absolute queen, Jennifer Coolidge? Yes! And Bette Midler?! It’s a dream come true, honestly. I can’t even process it all!

As a huge Taylor Swift fan, I’ve been following all the details about the Eras Tour, and it’s incredible! I read that her team basically took over a whole floor of the hotel they stayed at, and get this – the Governor Suite was where she did private interviews with stars like Hugh Jackman and Chris Hemsworth. It’s just amazing to think about!

Crown Sydney, Barangaroo

Crown Sydney is quickly becoming the favorite choice for high-profile guests, offering luxurious suites that cost $38,000 per night and exclusive amenities like a private rooftop pool.

Taylor Swift, Matt Damon, Ariana Grande, JoJo Siwa and Chris Hemsworth have all stayed here.

Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich were also seen relaxing poolside following a major fashion event.

W Sydney, Darling Harbour

Since opening its doors in late 2024, W Sydney has quickly risen to elite status.

The event’s launch attracted a number of well-known faces, including Candice and David Warner, Bella Varelis, Sarah Ellen, Larry Emdur, and Scott Tweedie.

Rapper Akon and UK DJ Joel Corry recently checked in during their Australian tours.
