Someone who attended Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding has confirmed his story that his mother, Victoria Beckham, danced somewhat provocatively with him during the reception.
Brooklyn claimed Victoria ruined his first dance at his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz, saying she danced inappropriately with him.
Brooklyn claimed he had ‘never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.’
A wedding guest, Stavros Agapiou, has come forward to say he saw Victoria dancing in a way he considered inappropriate.
Agapiou is the partner of DJ Fat Tony, and she confirmed he did perform at the reception. She posted on Instagram, ‘I was there and she did, he’s telling the truth,’ supporting his account.
The original comment was removed, and Stavros later shared a message of support, saying ‘Good on him for finally speaking out!’

People were shocked by his claims that Victoria had ruined his first dance and behaved inappropriately, making him feel awkward and embarrassed.
After the announcement, an old tweet from Victoria appeared online. It showed her dancing with David and said, ‘I love any dance floor!’
The news quickly spread online, and people reacted with memes, jokes, and guesses about what Victoria had done. Fans found the whole situation hilarious.
Brooklyn alleges his mother, Victoria, interrupted his first dance at his wedding, but Vogue’s report of the event tells a different story.
Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz’s wedding in April 2022 was featured in US Vogue, with the magazine highlighting how the celebration included classic American wedding traditions like mother-son and father-daughter dances.
According to Vogue, the couple’s first dance as newlyweds was to a cover of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” performed by South African singer Lloyiso.
Later in the evening, around 11 p.m., Marc Anthony – a good friend of David and Victoria – performed his song “I Need To Know” at the reception.
Brooklyn then asked his mother to come up on stage to dance with him. They were soon joined by David and their daughter, Harper, who is ten years old.
Brooklyn’s story about his mother joining him on the dance floor doesn’t match up with his earlier explanation. He originally said Marc Anthony brought him onstage for a dance with his wife, but instead, his mother was there waiting to dance with him.

In a candid post on Monday night, Brooklyn shared that his mother interrupted his first dance with his wife, a moment they had carefully planned to a special love song.
Vogue magazine was right about Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ being the first song played at a couple’s wedding – the couple confirmed it themselves in a video shared from their honeymoon.
In April 2022, Brooklyn posted a video of Nicola tearing up as a singer played their wedding song. He captioned it, ‘I love you baby. We first heard this song on our honeymoon.’
In a surprising statement, Brooklyn said he felt deeply embarrassed because Victoria danced suggestively on him in public, in front of a crowd.
He explained that he and Nicola chose to renew their vows last year, even without his family, because they wanted to create happy memories of their wedding day, rather than relive any stress or awkwardness.
Brooklyn and his wife have been central to a bitter family feud, causing them to miss important events like his father David’s 50th birthday and celebration of his knighthood.
The chef explained he felt pressured by his family, who prioritized publicity over everything else. He also shared that being with his wife, Nicola, has brought him much-needed calm and helped him overcome severe anxiety.
Brooklyn also said that Victoria, who runs her own fashion label, cancelled plans to make Nicola’s wedding dress right before the wedding.

‘I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.
I’m disappointed that my parents and their representatives keep talking to the media. Because of this, I feel I need to share my side of the story and correct some of the false information that has been published.
I’ve decided not to try and make things right with my family. This isn’t about someone controlling me; it’s about finally asserting my own needs and boundaries, which I haven’t done before.
‘For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.
I grew up surrounded by showy displays on social media, obligatory family gatherings, and relationships that often felt fake.

I’ve recently witnessed how far some people will go to spread lies in the media, often harming innocent individuals, all to maintain a false image. However, I’m confident that the truth will eventually be revealed.
He explained that his parents have consistently tried to sabotage his relationship, starting even before his wedding, and they still haven’t stopped.
Mom suddenly cancelled making Nicola’s dress right before the event, even though Nicola was really looking forward to wearing it. This left Nicola scrambling to find a replacement.
In the weeks leading up to my wedding, my parents kept trying to get me to legally change my name – they even offered me money to do it. This would have impacted not just me, but also my wife and any children we might have.
Brooklyn explained that his family prioritizes public image and sponsorships above everything else, putting the ‘Beckham brand’ first.
These days, it seems like ‘family love’ is measured by how active you are on social media or how willing you are to put aside your work for a family photo, even if it’s inconvenient.

I’ve bent over backwards for years – every fashion show, every event, everything – just to present this image of us as the perfect family. I’ve done it all! But then my wife, she just needed a little help from my mum, something small, to rescue those poor dogs during the LA fires. It meant the world to her, and honestly, it wasn’t a big ask. But my mum? She just flat-out refused. I can’t believe it. After everything I’ve done, she couldn’t do this one thing for my wife?
It’s a misunderstanding to say my wife controls me. Actually, I’ve been the one controlled for most of my life – by my parents.
I struggled with severe anxiety for most of my life. But since I moved away from my family, it’s completely gone. Now, I wake up each day feeling thankful for the life I’ve built and finally experiencing peace and calm.
My wife and I simply want a peaceful, private life, and happiness for our family, without being influenced by public attention or attempts to control us.
The Daily Mail has contacted the Beckhams for comment.

David seemed uncomfortable when asked about his son Brooklyn publicly criticizing the family. This happened soon after David himself discussed feelings of ‘regret’ in a podcast interview.
David Beckham, age 50, was spotted at the World Economic Forum in Davos shortly after his 26-year-old son released a six-page statement detailing a family dispute. He appeared to have difficulty smiling while posing for pictures.
While posing for selfies, David was suddenly asked by a Sky News reporter, ‘David, do you have a message for Brooklyn?’ This caught him off guard, and he quickly turned and walked away, looking embarrassed.
As he walked off, someone called out, asking if I, as a longtime follower, thought he was upset about family matters becoming public. He just wouldn’t say, though. He didn’t offer any reaction at all, which honestly spoke volumes.

Just minutes before, David appeared tired during a podcast interview for Radio Davos. The episode, called “Re-thinking,” featured science author Adam Grant.
The yearly meeting in Davos begins with the goal of making the world a better place, and this year’s focus is on fostering open conversation.
David is scheduled to release an interview on Wednesday where he’ll discuss difficult personal challenges, including dealing with setbacks, failures, and regrets, particularly in light of recent family issues.
On Tuesday, he discussed the regret people feel about their social media use during a live interview on CNBC’s Squawk Box, a financial news program.
In a recent interview discussing social media, David emphasized the importance of allowing children to learn from their errors, shortly after his son Brooklyn publicly shared a surprising statement about a family disagreement.
He told CNBC that he’s always discussed social media and its impact, both positive and negative.

It’s true that children have access to potentially harmful things online, but I’ve found that when used appropriately, technology can be a positive tool, especially for my own kids.
I’ve been fortunate to use my public voice to support UNICEF. It’s been a powerful way to raise awareness about the challenges children face around the world.
‘And I have tried to do the same with my children, to educate them.
Kids will inevitably make mistakes, and that’s perfectly okay – it’s how they learn and grow. I try to remind myself of this with my own children, understanding that sometimes the best thing we can do is let them experience those mistakes and learn from them.
During an interview, Andrew Ross Sorkin asked if the constant media attention felt different in the UK versus the US, and whether that impacted someone’s mental wellbeing.
David avoided directly addressing his son’s comment, stating he felt equally at home in both his home country and the United States. He expressed a deep affection for both places, explaining he’d always dreamed of living in America and felt fortunate to be able to split his time between the two.
