Sources say Brooklyn Beckham’s recent public fallout with his parents became likely after a difficult Christmas, where family members reportedly spoke negatively about him and his wife.
According to sources close to the Peltz-Beckham family, David and Victoria Beckham made a number of poor decisions following a private disagreement with their son Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola, which began after their wedding three years ago.
According to a source, the pressure on Brooklyn was relentless. He initially resisted, but ultimately decided to go along with it anyway.
Sources say the issues facing Sir David and Lady Beckham are more extensive than what’s already been reported, and the situation may continue to develop.
According to my source, Brooklyn has a lot more information he could reveal, which poses a significant challenge for his opponents.
The Beckhams consistently assumed Brooklyn wouldn’t risk speaking out. They made a mistake by thinking that could continue forever, because eventually, he would share his side of the story.
The drama escalated last night when Brooklyn publicly accused his parents on Instagram of attempting to sabotage his marriage and spreading lies about him to protect their reputation. He shared his accusations across six separate posts.
He felt his parents prioritized appearances over genuine connection. Growing up, they publicly criticized, controlled, and belittled him, which caused him lasting anxiety.

It seems the people supporting Peltz-Beckham are likely sharing the story about him ending contact with his grandparents, who he used to be close to, and who were reportedly very upset by this.
Several articles came out before Christmas discussing his strained relationship with both sets of parents – Ted and Sandra (David’s parents) and Tony and Jackie (Victoria’s parents).
I’ve been following this whole situation closely, and it’s good to know the truth is coming out. Apparently, despite everything that’s been said, David Beckham is still in contact with both his parents and Victoria’s. It’s not a lot – mostly texts and the occasional phone call, which is understandable given how painful this family rift is – but he definitely hasn’t cut them off completely, despite what some reports claimed. It’s a relief to hear that some connection remains.
I have a role in this story, since the feud was originally revealed by me in July 2022.
Several guests at the April wedding, which took place at the Peltz family’s home in Palm Beach, reported that there was noticeable tension during the event. Following the wedding, Nicola and Victoria stopped interacting with each other on social media, like liking each other’s posts.
There was then a period of denial when the Beckhams insisted that things were fine.
Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz were seen at several Victoria Beckham fashion shows and family gatherings, including the premiere of David Beckham’s Netflix documentary in October 2023. However, reports suggest they didn’t appear to be enjoying themselves.
I’ve always admired how supportive David and Victoria are of all their children, and I was so happy to see that extend to Nicola’s amazing debut film, ‘Lola’! She really poured her heart into writing, directing, and starring in it, and they were right there cheering her on. And it’s not just Nicola – they’ve been incredibly supportive of Brooklyn too, with his cooking shows and his hot sauce venture. It’s wonderful to see a family celebrate each other’s passions like that.
However, the problems brewing privately soon became obvious. Last spring, when Brooklyn missed his father’s 50th birthday celebrations, their falling out became public knowledge.

Brooklyn admitted last night that he’d rather have had a private conversation with his father than attend the crowded, camera-filled party in London.
He claims he was informed this opportunity would only be available if he divorced his wife. If accurate, this would have been deeply upsetting for him, and it reveals a troubling dynamic with his father.
Over the holidays, family dynamics became apparent through social media posts. Victoria’s mother, Jackie, shared a photo of a stocking labeled ‘Brooklyn’ hanging by the fireplace, and David later posted a picture of young Brooklyn with the family, writing, ‘I love you all.’
Perhaps oddly, both were perceived as digs by Brooklyn, who blocked his parents on social media.
And the briefings continued.
After I shared that Brooklyn asked his parents to communicate only through his lawyers last summer, someone close to the family reportedly called him disrespectful and pointed out that his parents had previously supported his career when he was younger.
People are questioning if the Beckhams’ past support of their son justifies their unkind treatment of Nicola, whom Victoria reportedly refers to with a harsh nickname. They also call Brooklyn ‘the hostage.’
Just after Brooklyn blocked his parents, David, 50, and Victoria, 51, posted a video of themselves dancing to Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb’s ‘Guilty’ – and playfully singing the line, ‘We’ve got nothing to be guilty of!’
That sent a message which was far from subtle.
As someone who knows Brooklyn and Nicola really well, I think David and Victoria do care about their son, but honestly, this whole situation feels like a really misguided attempt to reconnect with him. It’s just not working, and it’s definitely not the way to go about things.
Brooklyn was expecting his parents to apologize, but they didn’t. He’s now stated he doesn’t want to have a relationship with them, which came as a shock to many.
Ultimately, what pushed Brooklyn to sever ties was a recent report detailing his desire to make amends. The article also highlighted how his attempts to do so were seen as insensitive and that he’d dismissed his public relations team handling the situation.
I’ve been following the Peltz-Beckhams’ situation closely, and everything I’m hearing about disagreements is just not true, according to them. They’re still working with Matthew Hiltzik, a really well-known PR expert based in New York, to help manage things, which I think is a smart move.
Brooklyn was describing a disturbing pattern he’d witnessed: the deliberate spreading of false information in the media, often harming innocent individuals, all to maintain a certain image or cover-up.
Friends of David and Victoria who used to talk about their problems are now staying quiet, which is probably a good idea.
Before Brooklyn publicly shared surprising details on Instagram, his mother – a former Spice Girl who now designs clothes – had already changed her social media privacy settings to control who could connect with her.
The upshot is that she cannot be tagged on stories about her estranged son.

According to a source close to the Beckhams, Victoria Beckham was fully prepared for a conflict, feeling that the Beckhams have a stronger public image than the Peltz family and that the situation wasn’t a fair fight.
The Beckhams have been in the public eye for years and are skilled at controlling how their story is told. However, this recent news is a significant disaster, and I imagine Victoria is very upset.
I heard Victoria invited some of her son’s ex-girlfriends to her fashion shows and even offered to style them. If that’s true, it’s really strange, and it’s sure to make things even more awkward for him.
Invitations for Cruz’s 21st birthday party were sent out this week, and it’s going to be a large celebration. However, Brooklyn wasn’t invited.
It seems that the family has given up on him by this point.
According to someone close to David and Nicola Peltz Beckham, they felt strongly about clarifying the facts surrounding their wedding after disagreements became public last spring.
The couple received PR advice to stay quiet and avoid responding to media inquiries. True to form, they didn’t comment when reports surfaced about their missing presence at both David’s knighthood ceremony and Victoria’s Netflix documentary release.
But in the end, it seems, a reaction was inevitable.
As a friend puts it: ‘He and Nicola got extremely fed up of being goaded.’
Brooklyn explained that she had kept quiet for a long time and tried her best to handle these issues privately.
My parents and their representatives have kept going to the media, so I feel I need to share my side of the story and address some of the untrue things they’ve said. I have no desire to repair my relationship with them.
I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.’
