Brooklyn Beckham said his mother, Victoria, wouldn’t help with his wife Nicola Peltz’s fundraising for the Los Angeles wildfires, even though it was the first and only time they’d ever asked her for a favor.
On Monday, the 26-year-old chef publicly addressed his ongoing conflict with his family, stating he doesn’t want to repair their relationship and is finally asserting himself. He described this as the first time he’s ever stood up for himself.
Brooklyn said Victoria refused Nicola’s plea for help with her efforts to aid dogs displaced by the Los Angeles fires.
Instead of helping people impacted by the fire, the couple used the actress’s charity, Yogi’s House, to collect over $59,000 for animal relief.

I’ll never forget January 2025 in LA. The wildfires were absolutely devastating. Thirty-one people lost their lives, and over 200,000 had to leave their homes. It was heartbreaking to see over 18,000 buildings destroyed – it really changed the city.
Nicola had announced on social media that her charity was planning an event to help animals affected by the fires and raise money for their care.
The charity helps to save dogs from overcrowded LA shelters and euthanasia.
A GoFundMe campaign collected $59,444 to help rescue pets from areas impacted by wildlife and move them to temporary foster care.
Even though he comes from a well-known family and his wife, Nicola, is the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, the chef only contributed $5,000 to the charity.
Nicola and Brooklyn used Instagram to share photos and live updates from the Pendry Hotel in West Hollywood, where various brands contributed donations to help people in need.
She wrote: ‘Seeing the devastation and loss caused by these wildfires is truly heartbreaking.’
Los Angeles is a city our family deeply cherishes, and we’re sending our support to everyone impacted by this tragedy, particularly those who’ve lost their homes or loved ones.
We’re incredibly thankful for the courageous firefighters and first responders putting themselves in danger to help others. Please take care and support one another during this difficult time. – Victoria
Brooklyn’s father, David, also posted about the fires on Instagram, sharing that Los Angeles is a place his family deeply cherishes.
It’s devastating to see the ongoing news and images coming from the fires, and my heart goes out to everyone affected, especially my friends and coworkers who are going through this terrible situation.
Honestly, my heart just aches for everyone caught up in this. I can’t stop thinking about them and their families. And those first responders… they’re absolute heroes, rushing into danger when everyone else is running away. I’m just so incredibly grateful for their bravery right now.

On Monday night, Brooklyn posted a six-page statement on Instagram explaining that he doesn’t want to repair his relationship with his family.
Brooklyn and Nicola have been caught in a bitter family feud, leading them to skip important events like his father David’s 50th birthday and his recent knighthood ceremony.
The chef explained that his family prioritized publicity over everything else, and that he felt controlled by them because of it. He also shared that since marrying his wife, Nicola, he’s finally found peace and overcome severe anxiety.
Brooklyn also stated that Victoria cancelled her agreement to design Nicola’s wedding dress very late in the process, and interrupted their first dance, leaving him feeling deeply embarrassed. This led them to privately renew their vows last year without his family present.
Talk of a disagreement started when the actress wore a beautiful, custom-made wedding dress by Valentino, despite earlier suggestions she’d choose a gown by Victoria Beckham.
