Fans of the popular show Line of Duty were thrilled to see stars Adrian Dunbar and Vicky McClure together again this weekend. After much speculation, the show was confirmed to be returning for a seventh season last year, with Dunbar, McClure, and Martin Compston all set to reprise their roles.
As viewers eagerly anticipate the next season, scheduled to start filming in Belfast this spring, stars Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar recently had a small get-together.
McClure posted photos on Instagram showing her spending time with Dunbar in her hometown of Nottingham.

In a quick moment captured in a photo, Dunbar is seen with his arm around his co-star, McClure, while they stand outside what’s claimed to be England’s oldest inn.
One of the photos shows Dunbar having a drink with Jonny Owen, McClure’s husband, and she captioned it, “Had the best few days in Nottingham with the best of friends.”

Another photo shows detectives McClure and Dunbar with Eric Shango, McClure’s co-star from Trigger Point, who spent the weekend with them as part of a crossover event between the two police shows.
One fan said meeting this group was a highlight for anyone lucky enough to cross paths with them. Another commented on how talented the actress is, calling her the best in England or Great Britain, and complimented her companion, playfully calling him a charming Irishman.

“Think I would lose my mind if I met you guys out for a drink together,” commented another fan.
As a huge fan of Line of Duty, I noticed everyone online was quoting Ted Hastings! It was hilarious seeing so many people typing out his iconic line – “Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and the wee donkey” – it really blew up!
One fan excitedly tweeted, “Jesus, Mary, and a little donkey – I need to get back to Nottingham!” Another responded with delight, saying, “Wow, Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and a baby donkey! Is that Hastings with Kate Fleming? It’s great to see Vicky and the others in Nottingham.”
Line of Duty streams on BBC iPlayer.
