TEKKEN 8 faced a challenging year. Updates to Season 2 caused some imbalance, and the changes to the character Fahkumram sparked strong feelings within the player base. To top it off, Katsuhiro Harada, a key figure at Bandai Namco and the head of the TEKKEN Project, announced his departure at the end of 2025. Despite all this, competitive TEKKEN esports remained consistently popular.
The exciting TEKKEN 8 competitive season continues with the World Tour Final in Malmö, Sweden, from January 30th to February 1st! Top players from around the globe will compete for a coveted championship title.
The fighting game players here qualified by competing in international tournaments and earning points based on their global performance. Regional leaderboards also determined who could advance to the finals. Players who didn’t qualify through these routes have one last chance to prove themselves in the Last Chance Qualifier, where only one spot remains.

The top favorite players at the TEKKEN World Tour 2025 Finals
Esports are known for surprises, but a few players are definitely looking strong at this TEKKEN 8 tournament. While major betting companies might back the TWT 2025 Finals, remember to approach esports betting as entertainment rather than a guaranteed way to make money.

- ULSAN was somewhat less active this competitive year, but he still won the TEKKEN 8 Esports World Cup 2025.
- ATIF was extremely close to claiming his first Evo win this year. He won CEO 2025.
- Rangchu is the TWT 2024 champion. His Kuma/Panda hits differently at events of this level.
- Knee had a great start of this season, as he won Evo Japan 2025.
- Mulgold is #1 on the global leaderboard. He is the winner of Combo Breaker 2025 and SOOP Super Tournament 2025.
I’m so excited for the Last Chance qualifier on January 31st! It’s the final shot for players to make it to the TWT 2025 Finals, and it’s shaping up to be an awesome TEKKEN 8 esports event to watch.
