AFL legend Brendan Fevola’s wild response to nepo-baby daughter Mia being cast on I’m A Celebrity… as her pay packet is revealed

Brendan Fevola has shared his honest reaction to his daughter, Mia, appearing on the current season of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ Australia.

Ahead of next week’s show, AFL legend Jonathan Brown shared on his Fifi, Fev & Nick radio program that he’s happy Mia will be earning money for her work.

My oldest daughter, Mia, is appearing on ‘I’m A Celebrity,’ he shared, and then explained the conversation he had with her after she got the role.

‘She was like, “Dad, should I do it?”, and I’m like, “Bro, easy cash!” he said with a laugh.

‘Get in there and get it done!’ Brendan, 44, added.

The player, who currently plays for Carlton and previously for the Brisbane Lions, was a contestant on the show and won season two back in 2016.

This news follows a Daily Mail report suggesting Mia could earn between $40,000 and $60,000 for appearing on the reality show set in the jungle.

Despite her online following, Mia is believed to be among the lowest-paid cast members.

‘Social media reach doesn’t move the needle for TV advertising,’ the insider stressed.

‘It’s not the bargaining chip people think it is.’

Insiders say several cast members were unhappy with their deals but felt pressure to accept.

According to a source, refusing a request can effectively end your career in television. It’s an unwritten rule that if you say no, you won’t be asked to participate again.

Another insider was even more blunt.

‘Some of them are basically being paid to starve on camera,’ they said.

‘If the cheque was bigger, the complaints would stop.’

While contestants haggle over five-figure deals, the real budget has been funnelled elsewhere.

A source working on the show said the budget for the cast is being significantly reduced, especially with high salaries being paid to hosts like Robert Irwin.

‘That’s the trade-off.’

Network 10 declined to comment when approached by Daily Mail.

Mia has been courting a television career in recent years.

I was absolutely devastated when she got eliminated on Dancing With The Stars last season! It was the 22nd season, and I seriously thought she was a shoo-in for the finale, but they shockingly sent her home during the second semi-final. It was a total tragedy, honestly!
