Last week at the 2026 Golden Globes, Jennifer Lopez was reportedly impolite to Cole Walliser, who works for Glambot.
However, on Sunday, Walliser stepped in to support the 56-year-old singer, telling his Instagram followers that the situation was simply a result of the crowded and busy red carpet.
Walliser operated the high-speed camera and became known for using it to create captivating slow-motion footage, often featuring glamorous images of celebrities.
A short video showed him greeting Jennifer Lopez, who seemed focused on work. She briefly said ‘Hi, nice to see you’ while looking down and explaining the pose she wanted for the video.
Following the exchange, one person wrote online, ‘JLo was so rude to that Glambot guy.’
A week after the incident, Walliser explained the situation and clarified that he didn’t think the performer, who was from the Bronx, was being disrespectful.

He started his Instagram video by addressing a common question: ‘People always ask who the worst, meanest, or rudest person on the Glambot was. Honestly, everyone on the internet just needs to relax.’
Regarding the well-publicized incident with Lopez, he explained, ‘I wasn’t offended, and it didn’t seem disrespectful at the time.’
He realized a few things contributed to this feeling. First, she was very focused and direct – she didn’t waste any time. She was prepared and moved quickly into action, clearly knowing exactly what she intended to do and how to approach it.
It was a bit awkward because she wasn’t facing me while I spoke to her, but she was preparing to move, so I understood she was focused on that.
He said that when it was happening, he didn’t ask her to look at him – he understood what she was trying to do.
She was clearly preparing to leave, and it was getting late. We were simply trying to manage the situation, and the way she handled it didn’t seem impolite,” the experienced red carpet interviewer explained.
Walliser also made general comments about celebrities and awards shows.
The director stressed that stars’ interaction with his camera activation are ‘completely elective.’

I appreciate anyone who takes the time to pose for the Glambot – it’s a kind gesture, and I don’t take it for granted.
Red carpets are ‘generally insane,’ he noted, adding, ‘It’s just a really crazy environment.’
People often arrive at the Glambot unsure of what to expect. It’s not just Jennifer Lopez – many celebrities have felt that way in the past.
The media personality explained to fans that celebrities attending these events are simply doing their jobs. They’re there to promote their shows, appear as guests, or host – it’s all part of their work.
Lopez stunned on the red carpet in an over-the-top, nude-toned, mesh gown at last Sunday’s show.
She told Entertainment Tonight she borrowed the dress from LILY et Cie. It’s a vintage piece from the early 2000s and she owns it personally.
