I’m really getting into eFootball 2026, and they just dropped a new set of players with these “Mid Season MVPs” contracts in January. Honestly, the initial list didn’t grab me right away, but I’ve been digging through them and I’m happy to share my thoughts to help you decide if you’ve still got some contracts to use!

Declan Rice
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Box-to-Box
Of all the players listed, Rice seems like the most reliable and well-rounded choice. He’s a classic box-to-box midfielder – strong defensively and confident with the ball. If you let him develop naturally, his passing ability really shines.
He consistently handles the ball well, easily surpassing a skill level of 85. Beyond just dribbling, he’s a well-rounded player who excels in all areas of the game, particularly in one-on-one situations. His endurance, stability, and willingness to defend indicate he’ll maintain effectiveness on defense for the entire match.
Nico Schlotterbeck
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Build Up
Okay, as a fan, I’m really excited about Schlotterbeck. On paper, he looks like exactly what we need in a center-back when we’re building up play from the back. His stats are fantastic – he clearly reads the game well, gets stuck in, and is a strong tackler. Plus, he’s a big, physical guy, so I’m hoping teams will struggle to score against us with crosses when he’s playing. He seems like a really solid addition!
He’s not a standout dribbler, but that’s okay for a center back. His passing is adequate, and he’s quick enough to maintain a defensive line. He compensates for not being exceptionally fast with smart positioning.
Moisés Caicedo
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Box-to-Box
Caicedo is a strong midfield option, particularly for a defensive role. He excels at winning the ball back thanks to high tackling, engagement, and aggression stats, and he’s also quick and has good stamina. Overall, he’s a well-rounded player who’s especially effective at breaking up the opposition’s play.
Honestly, when I watch him play, he seems like a really reliable player. He’s good enough on the ball – his dribbling and passing won’t hold the team back when building attacks. But I think he’d be even better as a central midfielder – that’s where I think he truly shines.
Granit Xhaka
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
Xhaka performs exactly as you’d hope from a player designed to control the game. He excels at both short and long passing, and these abilities are clearly reflected in his stats, even without any special enhancements. He’s also a capable dribbler, and while his defensive skills aren’t amazing, his numbers are solid without needing any boosts.
Mile Svilar
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper
Okay, so I’ve been checking out this Svilar goalkeeper card, and he seems pretty solid all around. His reflexes, reach, and ability to parry shots are all good – not amazing, but definitely reliable. I like that he’s an Offensive GK, which can be really useful. But honestly? He doesn’t seem like the kind of keeper who’s going to win you the game on his own. There’s nothing really special about him, and even his best stats don’t quite break 90, which is a little disappointing.
Álvaro Carreras
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Wingback
Okay, so I’ve been checking out Carreras, and he looks like a really attacking fullback – super eager to get forward. What immediately jumps out is his speed, how quickly he accelerates, and his stamina. His dribbling and passing stats are around 80, which isn’t bad, I can definitely work with that. Defensively, he’s alright – his positioning and tackling are okay, but nothing amazing, honestly. He’s a solid player, but not a standout defender.
Ayase Ueda
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
I’ve always been a fan of this player card, and I even still have his older version. Ueda has decent attacking instincts and can finish plays, though he’s not exceptional at either. He’s really only useful going forward. His passing is quite poor, and his dribbling is just average. While his stats don’t jump out, I think he’s capable of more than they show.
Igor Thiago
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Target Man
Igor Thiago fits the classic ‘target man’ striker role, but he’s not particularly impressive compared to other available players. He’s strong and can finish plays, but doesn’t consistently pose a major scoring threat by himself.
He’s not particularly skilled with the ball, which is understandable. His dribbling and close control are just okay, and his passing isn’t a strong point either. Given how many forwards now have very high ratings, I don’t think he offers enough to be valuable.
