Yu Yu Hakusho & More Make an Unexpected Comeback for Special 100-Year Anniversary Release

Shueisha, a leading company in the anime and manga world responsible for popular series like Hunter x Hunter and Jujutsu Kaisen, is launching a new clothing line. They’re creating a collection of fashionable t-shirts that showcase designs inspired by their most well-known works.

Uniqlo is launching a special collection celebrating the 100th anniversary of Shueisha, the famous manga publisher. The “Manga UT Shueisha 100th Anniversary” project will include designs from 11 popular manga series published in Shueisha’s magazines. The collection, available in a range of sizes and styles, will first be released in Japan, and is expected to become available in the U.S. soon after.

Shonen Jump Publisher Celebrates 100 Years in Style With New Uniqlo T-Shirt Collection

To celebrate Shueisha’s 100th anniversary, the Manga UT project will feature popular characters from magazines like Weekly Shonen Jump on a line of T-shirts. Some shirts, like the one for Gantz, will be black and white and display character faces and the logo. Others, such as the Captain Tsubasa shirts, will follow a similar design. The Kingdom series will have shirts printed with panels directly from the manga.

The Kinnikuman shirt features fun, stylized artwork of fight scenes, while the Golden Kamuy shirt has a simpler design. A shirt for the classic anime Saint Seiya is also available, though fans in the West might not be familiar with the Kochikame shirt’s source material.

Among the merchandise, Jujutsu Kaisen is a standout brand with four different t-shirt designs. It shares this number with another popular series, while the older favorite Yu Yu Hakusho offers two shirts—likely appealing to longtime fans. These Yu Yu Hakusho shirts come in black and white, featuring the main characters. Finally, two t-shirt types are planned for Rurouni Kenshin, a well-known classic manga that has recently become a topic of discussion.

The first shirts will be available around mid-March 2026, and the release dates for the rest of the collection will be announced later. All sizes, from XS to 4XL, will be priced at 1,990 yen – about US$13. Uniqlo has become a leading brand for anime and manga-inspired clothing, and these items will likely be available in the U.S. one to three months after their initial release in Japan.
