Two months after her separation, Nicole Kidman seemed determined to stay strong, telling an interviewer, ‘I’m hanging in there.’
But how different – and radiant – she looked two weeks ago.
Returning to Nashville after a holiday in Sydney, Australia, with her daughters Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15, she looked noticeably younger and more refreshed.
The Nicole who looked serious and a bit unhappy at Paris Fashion Week last October – with a hair clip and a very styled hairdo – now looks radiant. She seemed relaxed and happy as she walked through the airport, her natural strawberry blonde curls flowing freely.
A magazine writer recently noticed Nicole Kidman seems particularly radiant. They pointed out her curly hair and cheerful smile, wondering if this is just her typical charm or if there’s a special reason behind it.
It turned out, and would become public knowledge shortly after, that her divorce from Keith Urban had been finalized. The paperwork was completed on Tuesday, January 6th – fifteen weeks after they had announced their separation.
Nicole Kidman’s divorce after 19 years of marriage has been swift and amicable, though still difficult. Both she and her ex-husband are financially secure and won’t be seeking alimony. Reports indicate he has a net worth of around $75 million, while hers is approximately $250 million.
Even before their separation became public, Nicole Kidman, 58, and Keith Urban reached an agreement ensuring Kidman would have the majority of time with their daughters. Urban signed the agreement in August.
She spends 306 days each year with her children and celebrates Christmas with them in odd-numbered years, while he has them for 59 days. She was determined to avoid repeating a painful experience from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, where her adopted children, Bella and Connor, grew distant and were primarily raised by their father and his family within the Scientology faith, a religion she no longer practices.
However, people are saying the photos of her relaxed and happy time with her daughters at Sydney Airport reveal far more than any official statement could.

Her latest photo showed the three of them embracing, watching the fireworks over Sydney Harbour. She wrote, ‘Looking forward to 2026 xxx,’ which seemed to suggest they were excited to face the future together as a group.
Okay, so I’ve been following this closely, and apparently, they’re dividing up all their amazing properties – seriously, they have places everywhere – and they’re doing it all privately, between themselves. They don’t want anyone knowing the details of who’s getting what, which just makes me even more curious, honestly! It’s all a mutual decision, thankfully, so it’s not some messy fight, but the secrecy is killing me! I need to know where all the dream homes are going!
Nicole is currently living in the beautiful house she and Keith previously shared in Nashville, Tennessee – a city Keith has called home for many years. Their daughters are doing well in school there, and Nicole has a strong support system of friends nearby, including Reese Witherspoon.
I learned last year that she and Urban still have things in common – they apparently go to the same hairdresser and shop at the same Whole Foods store.

Many people are wondering if country singer Karley Scott Collins is the person in question. Neither she nor Keith Urban’s representatives have confirmed or denied the rumors.
They both performed on the C2C Music Tour across the UK and Europe last spring, before news of Urban and Kidman’s separation came out in September.

Being asked to tour with a musician you admire is undoubtedly exciting, but the offer felt poorly timed. Interestingly, their musical connection isn’t over – both artists are scheduled to perform at the Lakefront Music Festival in Minnesota on July 11th.
It is one of only a handful of events which Urban has confirmed for this year.
At his last public performance in October, Urban seemed troubled. Rumors about a connection with singer Maggie Baugh – after he’d sung to her onstage in August – had clearly upset him. While his representatives remained silent, friends of Baugh were quick to mention she was happily in a relationship with someone else.
But in December, he spoke to a local news source about his newly reopened music studio and seemed like his old self, though he wasn’t wearing his wedding ring.
In an interview with The Tennessean last year, he shared that he’s been very busy writing and recording music. He’s eager to return to the studio, explaining that music isn’t just a job for him—it’s his passion and what he dedicates all his time to.
He’s also been a judge on the CBS reality show, The Road, where up-and-coming musicians compete for a chance to perform at Nashville’s famous venue, The Pinnacle, and win a $250,000 prize.
Urban is planning a return to performing live music. He’s scheduled concerts in California and Arizona in March, Florida in May, and will be headlining the Lakeside Music Festival alongside Scott Collins in July.
Fans are very relieved to hear this news. There was a lot of concern in October about how the divorce would impact his well-being and future.
He’s battled drug addiction and has been to rehab on three occasions: in 1998, 2000, and shortly after his marriage to Nicole Kidman in 2006.
But that’s not the Urban people are seeing today.
Now that Nicole Kidman is moving forward and focusing on her life with her daughters, it will be interesting to see how Tom Cruise responds, and what he expresses through his music.
