G2 Esports signs multi‑year betting sponsorship with Winamax

Hey everyone, just heard some cool news! G2 Esports is teaming up with Winamax as their official betting partner. It’s gonna cover both our League of Legends squad and our Kings League Germany team, so if you’re into betting on esports, keep an eye out!

G2 Esports and Winamax have entered into a long-term partnership, making Winamax the official betting sponsor for both G2’s League of Legends team and its Kings League Germany team (G2 FC). This deal is a significant step forward for legal esports betting in Europe.

In 2026, Winamax was the first betting company Riot Games allowed to sponsor European esports teams. G2 explained this partnership would establish a new benchmark for how betting companies can connect with fans responsibly throughout Europe.

G2 x Winamax podcast

G2 and Winamax are launching a new weekly podcast called HopEUm. The podcast will feature streamers, professional League of Legends players, and guests, all discussing the latest news and action from the EMEA Championship (LEC).

G2 CEO Alban Dechelotte expressed his enthusiasm about the new partnership with a Europe-wide company, saying they’re a great match for G2’s values. He highlighted the importance of working with a brand that understands and shares a similar European background.

G2 announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Trevor “Quickshot” Henry will host the first episode of their new podcast. Quickshot was a commentator for the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) for ten years, from 2013 to 2023. The episode will also include G2’s regular streamers. According to the G2 CEO, they wanted to do more than just a standard partnership with HopEUm and instead create something truly valuable for fans and the League of Legends community.

We still don’t have a release date for the podcast, but G2 will share details in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for their new sponsor, which will be featured on the 2026 jerseys.

G2 Esports has partnered with a betting company before. In December 2025, they announced a long-term deal with Betpanda for their Counter-Strike 2 team. This new partnership will follow a similar format, including unique content, community events, and experiences for fans.
