We can now see just how much financial trouble Jesse Wood is in after his divorce from Fearne Cotton. Company records show he’s facing serious money problems following the split.
This week, 49-year-old musician and son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, appeared in court after being charged with speeding, offering a public look at his personal difficulties.
Jesse openly shared that he’s been managing on just around £1,000 a month and finding it hard to find work ever since his ten-year marriage to Fearne ended two years ago.
He explained to the court after pleading guilty to speeding on the A4 in West London that a job he was expecting in 2024 had been postponed.
‘At the moment I’m living off my savings and I am looking to get employment.’
The Daily Mail has learned the full extent of his money problems. Company records show his business is heavily in debt and losing money.
I’ve been following Rekognition Sound Limited for a while now, and I’m really worried about their financial situation. It’s run entirely by Jesse, and unfortunately, they only have about £10,943 left in the bank. But they owe a lot of money – £111,903 in total – to various creditors. A significant portion of that debt, around £37,352, is actually from bank loans they’ve taken out.
As a long-time supporter, I was disappointed to see the latest financial reports. They cover the year ending November 2024, and unfortunately, the company is showing a loss of £101,562. That’s a significant jump from the £56,211 loss we saw last year, and it’s definitely a cause for concern.

Even though Jesse comes from a well-known family with a history in rock and roll, he doesn’t seem to have any financial security to rely on if he needs it.
Fearne owns their former marital home in Richmond, London, outright. Because the house, which she bought in 2014 for £3.15 million, is solely in her name, he has no legal right to it.
The former couple share two children, son Rex, 12, and daughter Honey, nine.
Growing up with a famous musician as a father, Jesse naturally gravitated towards a life in music. He became a guitarist and has spent his career playing with different bands and on various musical projects.
He’s played guitar with the rock band Reef on and off, and has also worked on various music projects behind the scenes.
While Jesse’s father is very wealthy, with a net worth of £100 million and a £3 million home in Richmond, Jesse hasn’t had the same success with his own ventures.
He resigned from his position as a director of Reef Band LLP in October 2025. This company manages money earned from royalties and concerts. Recent financial records show the partnership lost £710.
He had also previously resigned as a director of Tribe Festivals in 2002.
Jesse’s money troubles became known when he risked losing his driver’s license. He’d already received nine points on his license for speeding in the past.
He told the court that his latest tax return showed he earned around £14,000 a year, which he described as a ‘very low’ income.
Jesse has been banned from driving for six months and must pay £255 in fines after being caught speeding at 27mph in a 20mph zone.
News about Jesse’s financial situation is surfacing as he begins a new phase in his personal life.

Fearne was his second wife. He was previously married to Katherine ‘Tilly’ Boone, who is now 52, and they have two grown-up children together.
He’s currently dating Gemma Gregory, who is known for appearing on Made In Chelsea and working as a model. They recently celebrated their one-year anniversary as a couple.
I was so touched by Gemma’s recent post! She shared some really sweet, personal photos, including one of Jesse looking totally relaxed in the bath. She wrote about how much she’s enjoying winter and celebrated a year of love with Jesse, a year of being sober, and a year of personal growth. It’s just lovely to see them doing so well!
Gemma and Jesse first revealed their relationship last April. Gemma, who is a mother to an 11-year-old from a previous relationship, shared a sunny photo of Jesse with the caption, ‘I really love this guy.’
Sources revealed that things moved fast between them after Jesse’s unexpected divorce in December 2024, which coincided with Fearne starting a new relationship with Elliot Hegarty, a TV director who is ten years older than her.
Jo Wood, Ronnie Wood’s former wife and a mother figure to Jesse, was surprised by Fearne’s breakup last year. She didn’t see it coming, especially the news of Fearne starting to date someone new, and Jesse was very upset by it.

Life can be challenging, and difficult times are sometimes unavoidable. It might feel overwhelming initially, but there’s usually something positive to be found, and tough times don’t last. I truly hope Fearne finds happiness.
I’m confident Jesse will be pleased with how things turned out. It’s natural for things to come to an end, and it was time for them to move forward.
Gemma, born in London, is the daughter of actor Paul Gregory. She previously dated Henry Brett, who plays polo for England.
Jesse has dated several well-known women in the past, including Kate Moss, Kate Hudson, and Jasmine Guinness. However, he hasn’t shared many details publicly about his breakup with Fearne.
She discussed the situation during an interview on the Lorraine show last March, stating that everything was friendly and the children were doing well. She also said she was feeling positive and happy.
