Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2026 Latin America (LA) League begins the search for its champion

Pokémon UNITE is launching online esports leagues in North America, Latin America, and Europe. Each league will qualify two teams to compete in a global championship event planned for mid-2026. The Latin American league kicks off this week and will continue until late April. This article provides a complete overview of the MOBA tournament.

Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2026 LA League: Schedule and Format

So, I heard that the best Latin American teams are getting invited to this tournament. It’s one of three exclusive regional leagues they’re running. Basically, teams from North America, Latin America, and Europe are battling it out for over half a million dollars! It’s a little weird though – they’ve split the regions into two zones, but we’re all playing in the same stage for now.

The five best teams in each Regional League will qualify for the 2027 UCS Regional Leagues. The two highest-ranked teams will also earn a trip to the 2026 World Championship in San Francisco, California.

The competition starts with five weeks of games where every team plays each other twice. After that, the five teams with the best records will move on to the playoffs.

Once the initial round robin is complete, the Playoffs will start. All playoff matches will be best of five. The first match will pit the team in fourth place against the team in fifth. The winner of that match will then play the next highest-ranked team, and this continues until the final match to determine the champion.

Prize Pool

The total prize money for the event is $160,000. The winning team will take home around a third of that, and other top-performing teams will also receive prizes. Here’s how the prize money will be distributed:
