Fearne Cotton is forced to explain why she eats cheese and eggs again as she reveals she’s angered vegan fans amid ex Jesse Wood’s unemployment claim

Oh my gosh, I was totally scrolling through Fearne Cotton’s posts and saw she was having cheese and eggs! Apparently, some of her vegan followers are a little upset – can you believe it? It’s all happening while her ex, Jesse Wood, is dealing with being out of work, which makes the whole thing even more… complicated. I’m just so invested in her life, I had to know what was going on!

The 44-year-old broadcaster and author, who previously promoted a vegan lifestyle with her cookbook ‘Happy Vegan,’ has started eating cheese and eggs occasionally.

Fearne mentioned that some vegans are upset with her, and while she understands why, she’s now explained the actual reason behind her decision.

In a recent Instagram video, Fearne Cotton explained she has to be careful with food because she struggled with a serious eating disorder when she was in her twenties.

Fearne admitted this video seemed to go against the message of her recent post about her new book – embracing not needing everyone’s approval. She acknowledged she probably shouldn’t have to explain herself, but she’s still learning and growing, so she wanted to clarify.

I understand some vegans are upset that I’ve started eating eggs and cheese again.

Let me clarify: I don’t eat meat often, and I mostly follow a plant-based diet. I might have some when I’m eating out, or like when I was traveling in Spain last summer.

Honestly, hearing her talk about this just gets me. She admitted she struggled with a really tough eating disorder in her twenties, and it totally makes sense why she needs to be so chill about food now. It’s like, she has to avoid getting too strict with herself, and I just get that need for flexibility. It’s so relatable, and it explains so much!

It honestly doesn’t bother me if people approve of my vegan lifestyle or not. I can’t control what others think or do – whether they’re vegan or eat meat. I’m just focusing on living my own life and will continue to eat a mostly plant-based diet.

It’s true you can’t make everyone happy, and that’s okay. Not everyone will agree with your choices, and learning to accept that is a valuable and healthy process.

This news follows Jesse, Fearne Cotton’s ex-husband, revealing in court that he’s been out of work and living on just around £1,000 a month while facing speeding charges.

The 49-year-old musician is the son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, who has a net worth of £100 million and owns a £3 million townhouse in Richmond.

When he appeared in court on Thursday, facing a potential driving ban, it was revealed that he’s been having trouble finding work since his breakup with TV presenter Fearne 13 months ago and is currently relying on his savings to get by.

Jesse, who is currently dating Gemma Gregory from Made in Chelsea, appeared in court after being caught speeding last year. On April 7th, he was driving 27mph in a 20mph zone in Earls Court, west London.

He was facing a potential ban because this was his fourth warning – he’d already received three prior endorsements.

The father of four shared a surprisingly detailed account of his recent financial difficulties and job search when he appeared in court.

Jesse, a father of four – two with Ferne and two from a previous relationship – appeared in court to explain that a job he was expecting in 2024 had been postponed.

‘At the moment I’m living off my savings and I am looking to get employment.’

When asked about his income from last year’s tax returns, he stated it was quite low, approximately £14,000.

Jesse apologized to the court for speeding – he was going 7 miles per hour over the limit on Cromwell Road – and explained this wasn’t his first offense, marking his fourth time being caught.

He added: ‘I would like to say I accept responsibility for what I have done.’

According to prosecutor Geraldine Dickinson, the incident occurred at 12:45 PM on April 7 of last year. The defendant was driving on Cromwell Road, where the speed limit was 20 miles per hour.
