Adult Swim has announced that it will be shutting down Rick and Morty: Pocket Mortys, the popular turn-based RPG, on April 13, 2026. The game, based on the hit animated series, has been running for 10 years and will be ending its service.

Devs didn’t reveal any clear reason behind the EOS decision

Pocket Mortys is a fun game inspired by Rick and Morty where you collect and train Mortys to battle other Ricks from different dimensions. You play as Rick Sanchez and can collect over 400 unique Mortys, evolving them to become stronger. You can play through a story-driven campaign, team up with others to defeat powerful raid bosses, and more!

The creators of Rick and Morty: Pocket Mortys announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the game will officially stop working on April 13, 2026. They stated that after a decade of fun, they are ending support for the game, but haven’t yet explained why.

You can enjoy the game until EOS with everything for free to use

It’s definitely a sad situation, but the developers are trying to make the best of it by making everything in the game free and releasing all previous rewards for everyone to find. I’m also glad they’re keeping the game available for now, so players can still enjoy it until its final day.

Many fans were understandably upset to hear the unexpected news, with some expressing how much the game meant to them—one user wrote, “It genuinely hurts, I’ve played this for so long.” Others were more dramatic, saying things like, “I don’t even know what I’m going to do anymore.” To make matters worse, there won’t be an offline version of the game, and fans are strongly requesting that the developers add one.
