Cheryl revives her viral 2010 X Factor quote ‘you’re my cup of tea with two sugars in it’ for new Nivea skincare advert

Cheryl recently made fans smile by referencing a famous line from her time on The X Factor in a new Instagram ad for Nivea.

The 42-year-old singer recorded a fun video wearing a blue turtleneck under a gold V-neck sweater and black jeans. She had her hair pulled back in a low bun.

Cheryl stood in a beautiful kitchen, stirring a teaspoon in her mug as she silently mouthed the lyrics to the song playing.

She explained that not everyone will like you, but you’re exactly what I need and adore – you’re perfect for me.

Cheryl first said this phrase to Cher Lloyd, her contestant on the 2010 season of The X Factor, following Cher’s performance of Run-D.M.C.’s “Walk This Way.”

The clip quickly became a popular meme, with people all over the world using it in their TikTok videos.

One wrote: ‘This is iconic. I love that she fully embraces the memes.’

Another said: ‘Iconic. Can we get this on a T-shirt?’, while one fan simply put: ‘ICONICCCCCCCCCC’.

Someone else excitedly shared, ‘She’s exactly my type – absolutely perfect! She’s my favorite person ever.’

A lighthearted video surfaced shortly after Cher shared a rare Instagram post on Tuesday. The post showed the singer, without makeup, giving fans a peek at her skincare routine and announcing she’s focusing on self-care in a ‘new era’ of her life.

Cheryl, a spokesperson for Nivea, posted a video showing herself using their Epigenetics Age Rewind Serum.

The celebrity explained in the video that after using the serum twice daily for six months, her skin is noticeably brighter and more radiant.

She added: ‘Science is doing its thing, it’s a new era for my routine and I am ready.’

Fans of Cheryl were worried when a song they hadn’t heard before appeared on her Spotify account, leading to speculation that it might have been hacked.

The singer behind ‘The Fight For This Love,’ who hasn’t released a new song since 2019, discovered someone had incorrectly attributed a song to her.

Fans were surprised and puzzled to find that the artist’s latest song, which is nearly six minutes long, doesn’t feature her singing.

The song, titled ‘Yesus Kau Baik Bagiku’ (which means ‘Jesus You Are Good To Me’), is actually sung by a woman in Indonesian.

This peaceful, gospel-inspired song is quite different from Cheryl’s usual energetic and lively pop music that her fans are familiar with.

The streaming platform has removed the song from Cheryl’s profile. Interestingly, the singer on the track is also named Cheryl – her full name is Cheryl Tuasuun.
