The first trailer for The Dreadful, a new horror film starring Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, is here. The movie is a creepy, old-fashioned ghost story set in the 1400s, and it follows a woman and her mother-in-law who live a secluded life.
The scene opens with Anne receiving devastating news: her husband has been killed in war. Morwen warns her to be cautious, explaining that evil people can disguise themselves as ordinary men, while Jago delivers the tragic information.
As she develops feelings for Jago, Anne finds herself caught between him and her mother-in-law, creating tension. Meanwhile, we see a disturbing side of Morwen, revealing her capacity for extreme violence.

“They will pull you down to hell!” she warns her daughter-in-law at one point.
Natasha Kermani wrote and directed The Dreadful, which features Laurence O’Fuarain (known for The Witcher: Blood Origin) and Jonathan Howard (from Coronation Street).

Turner has shared that the new movie is inspired by the Japanese film Onibaba. He told Collider it’s not a direct copy, but rather a reimagining of the original story, which he described as ‘amazing’.
She described it as similar to The Green Knight, hinting that it’s supernatural, strange, and genuinely frightening.
This project also brings together former Game of Thrones co-stars Richard Madden and Kit Harington, who famously played Sansa Stark and Jon Snow, respectively.

Actress Florence Pugh will play Lara Croft in a new Tomb Raider series coming to Prime Video, created by the writer of Fleabag, Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The series will also star Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, and Celia Imrie, and a first look at Florence Pugh as Lara Croft has just been revealed.
I’m really enjoying Kit Harington’s new role! He’s playing Sir Henry Muck in the latest season of Industry, which just started – it’s a really interesting financial drama.
The Dreadful is yet to confirm a UK release date, though will premiere in the US on 20 February.
The latest issue of Living Legends magazine is now available, and it’s dedicated to the incredible Dolly Parton! You can find ‘Dolly at 80’ in shops or order it online for only £8.99.
