Jessie Buckley looked stylish and relaxed as she arrived at the Jimmy Kimmel Live show in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The 36-year-old Irish actress looked stunning in a black, uneven-hem maxi skirt and a loose-fitting white shirt.

She finished her outfit with black and cream heels and square sunglasses, accessorizing with simple jewelry and a pixie cut hairstyle.

Last week, Jessie won Best Actress at the Golden Globes for her performance in Hamnet, a film that also won Best Film. Following the awards, she appeared on a late-night talk show.

The star gave a moving speech thanking the entire cast and crew, including her co-star Paul Mescal. 

This movie reimagines the life of William Shakespeare, portrayed by Paul, and his wife Agnes, played by Jessie. The story focuses on the grief they experience after the death of their son, Hamnet.

She expressed her surprise and gratitude while accepting the award, saying, ‘This is incredibly surreal, but thank you to the Golden Globes.’

To Chloe, Paul, Maggie, Max, Emily, Jacobi, Joe, and all 400 of the extras – I love you all! I’d happily perform at the Globe Theatre with you forever.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been on many sets, but this one was truly special. We were bringing the story of arguably the most famous Brit of all time to life! What made it even more fascinating was the incredible mix of cultures involved – we had a Chinese director leading a team with a lot of Irish talent, alongside a primarily Polish crew, all working with our British cast. It was a beautiful blend of backgrounds and perspectives, and it really enriched the whole experience.

Jessie caused a stir when she jokingly said she could easily outdrink Paul after they finished working together on their successful movie.

Okay, so last week at the Critics Choice Awards, something really interesting happened! I saw her single out Paul in the audience and just lay on the compliments – he’s definitely got a fan in her, and she wasn’t shy about letting everyone know! It was a bold move, but honestly, a little playful flattery never hurt anyone, right?

She playfully acknowledged her co-star’s popularity, jokingly telling him, ‘I really adore you, and I’m sure many other women here feel the same, but that’s just how it is!’

Paul started crying as Jessie, speaking from the podium, told him, ‘You have a huge heart, and you’ve helped me become a better person. Thank you so much.’

On Sunday, she explained her previous statement, saying she meant he’s crucial to her work as an actor and has helped her realize her full potential in her performances.

‘He brings you to the core of your humanity and once know what that is, it becomes like water.’

Paul, responding to Jessie’s compliment, told her that people would be analyzing her performance in ‘Hamnet’ for years to come – it was truly unforgettable.

This is a truly remarkable performance, one that will be remembered for a long time. We’ll be talking about this film, and especially her incredible work, for weeks to come.

The real celebration of her achievements will happen much later, in a decade or two. Her legacy will be celebrated for years to come.
