Michael Jackson estate executors say they’re owed $115K in fees amid row with Paris Jackson

The people managing Michael Jackson‘s estate claim they are due around $115,000 in fees because of legal disputes with his daughter, Paris Jackson.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m following this closely – the legal representatives for John McClain and John Branca officially filed the necessary documents with the Los Angeles court on Friday regarding the request that was made. It’s all moving forward now!

Court documents reveal a breakdown of the fees the estate’s executors plan to charge for handling the estate, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Court documents show the company spent $93,924.63 on legal fees and $1,238.39 in costs related to a motion to protect against a lawsuit designed to silence them.

This issue stemmed from a legal filing made by Paris, age 27, in July 2025, where she raised concerns about how the estate of the late Michael Jackson was being handled by those in charge.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives and lawyers for both the estate and Paris Hilton for additional information regarding this story.

The court ruled in favor of the executors last November, and they believe this initial win allows them to now seek reimbursement for their legal fees from a recent filing.

The executors’ lawyers explained that the documents detail the fees and costs associated with the anti-SLAPP motion, allowing the court to decide how much money should be awarded.

According to a representative for Paris Jackson, she has been actively working for months to investigate concerning issues and financial problems with how her father’s estate is being managed.

It’s understandable that those handling Michael Jackson’s estate and their legal team are trying to maximize their own profits, even if it means taking money from the Jackson family.

The spokesperson stated that Paris will not give up her pursuit of openness, responsibility, and justice for her family.

According to court documents filed in Los Angeles late last year and recently obtained by the Daily Mail, Paris Jackson claims that the administrators of her father Michael Jackson’s estate, John Branca and John McClain, have personally profited significantly from his fortune.

Paris argued in her legal filing that the people managing the estate failed to invest a large amount of money in a way that could have generated significant profits.

According to court documents, Michael Jackson’s daughter’s lawyers claim she’s worried the management of her father’s estate is being used by John Branca to personally benefit and increase his own wealth.

The Los Angeles resident emphasized that those managing the estate should prioritize the needs of those who will inherit and protect her father’s lasting reputation.

Paris made this request after a previous attempt to review how the estate’s finances were handled was unsuccessful.

In a recent court document, Paris alleged that the estate’s co-executors failed to make any apparent effort to properly invest $464 million in available funds.

Paris’s lawyers argued that the co-executors didn’t seem to be taking steps to invest the large amount of money and increase the estate’s overall earnings.

Paris was also angry that the estate was paying lawyers for various legal matters.

According to court filings, Paris stated that ten law firms received over $4.5 million in 2021 – more than any single person or entity received that year.

Paris said that between 2009 and 2021, executors were paid a total of $148 million.

Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009, at age 50, after a heart attack at his home in Los Angeles.

Authorities in February 2010 deemed his death as the result of acute propofol intoxication.

Jackson received a strong medication from his doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray. Investigators said Jackson referred to the drug—which was given through an IV—as ‘milk’ and explained he required it to help him sleep.

The news of Jackson’s death brought a huge outpouring of tributes from fans around the world, both at memorial sites and across social media.

Michael Jackson’s three children attended a public memorial service for him on July 7, 2009, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles (formerly Staples Center). It was the first time they had been seen in public without masks.

At the emotional service, 11-year-old Paris shared how much she loved her father, describing him as the best a person could ask for, since the day she was born.

A private funeral service for Michael Jackson’s family and close friends took place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.

After Michael Jackson’s death, Dr. Conrad Murray’s treatment of him came under investigation. Concerns were raised about his decisions regarding the amount of medication he gave Jackson and whether he followed proper safety procedures when administering it.

Investigators concluded that Michael Jackson’s death was a homicide. More than two years later, in November 2011, his doctor, Conrad Murray, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and received a four-year prison sentence.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always been fascinated by truly iconic figures, and Michael Jackson definitely fits the bill. He wasn’t just a musician; he was a phenomenon! His career was unlike anything we’d ever seen, selling more records than almost anyone in history. And those awards? Thirteen Grammys out of a staggering 38 nominations – it really speaks to his incredible talent and lasting impact.

He received several awards, including a Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough” in 1980, and both Album of the Year and Record of the Year for Thriller in 1984 with the song “Beat It.”

In 1993, he received a Grammy Legend Award, and after his death, The Recording Academy honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. He was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
