Here’s a quick update for those who didn’t catch it: here’s what happened on Day 5 of the MLBB M7 World Championship’s Swiss Stage, which took place in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Day 5 of the Mobile Legends M7 World Championship had some unexpected results. A major upset occurred when Aurora Gaming PH defeated Team Spirit, a big turnaround for the Filipino team who often struggle in important matches. The final match was also notable, marking the first time Team Liquid PH coach Arsy had faced a team from Myanmar since leaving Falcon Esports in 2025.
That said, here is a quick recap of what happened in the M7 World Championship Swiss Stage Day 5.
M7 Swiss Stage Day 5 Recap
Team Falcons vs Aurora Gaming Turkey
The first game was quick and decisive, with Aurora Gaming Turkey taking charge from the start by securing early objectives. They used this lead to control the entire map. Sidar “Tienzy” Mentese’s choice of Harley, a less common character, was incredibly effective against Team Falcons, and he finished the game with an impressive six kills without dying.
In Game 2, Team Falcons bounced back with a stronger lineup. FLCN’s Bien “Boyet” Chumecera played a very tough frontline that Aurora couldn’t easily defeat, which allowed Sulaiman “Saano” Alrashdi’s Karrie to dominate team fights and lead Falcons to a victory, tying the series.
During the final match, Aurora chose a strategy focused on the late game, with Siyar “Sigibum” Akbulut playing Claude in the Gold Lane. Team Falcons struggled early on in team battles, as Aurora’s Mehmet “Lunar” Ilgun (Terizla) and Lukasz “Pagu” Bigus (Grock) repeatedly trapped Saano with strong crowd control. Moayed “Trolll” Kharaba’s skillful plays on Minotaur helped Falcons stay competitive and extend crucial fights. But Aurora quickly regained control, winning a key team fight around the 18-minute mark. This allowed them to secure the Lord and push directly to Falcons’ base, finishing the series and earning a spot in the Knockout Stage.
Aurora Gaming PH vs Team Spirit
In the first game of Day 5 in the M7 Swiss Stage, Team Spirit immediately took the attack to Aurora Gaming PH. Kemiran “Sunset Lover” Kochkarov quickly dominated the early game, securing four kills within the first ten minutes and controlling team battles with accurate use of Pharsa’s Feathered Air Strike. This relentless aggression kept Aurora on the defensive and prevented them from creating opportunities.
Team Spirit was comfortably ahead, but a risky move by Sunset Lover at 13 minutes allowed Aurora to recover. Aurora’s player, Demonkite, then began to dominate, quickly gaining kills and securing a powerful objective at 19 minutes. This shifted the advantage to Aurora, who won a key team fight and pushed down the middle lane to win the game.
The second game started as a close match, but Aurora quickly took the lead thanks to Jan “Demonekite” Delmundo, who got more than eight kills early on. His decision to build a Sky Piercer proved very effective, and he reached ten kills before 15 minutes. Although ahead, Aurora briefly pushed too hard trying to finish the game, giving Team Spirit a chance to recover. That chance didn’t last long, though, as Aurora’s Light surprised Team Spirit with an unexpected attack, eliminating four of their players. With their base undefended, Team Spirit fell, and Aurora Gaming PH won the series 2–0.
Yangon Galacticos vs Team Liquid PH
In the first game, Team Liquid PH chose a team setup focused on strong attacks. Kiel “Oheb” Soriano played Sora, an unexpected choice for this stage of the tournament, while Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya selected his well-known hero, Yu Zhong. Both teams fought relatively evenly at the start, but Team Liquid PH consistently gained an advantage by taking control of important areas on the map. This control allowed them to build a substantial 3,000-gold lead by the 12-minute point.
Yangon Galacticos fell further behind as Team Liquid PH repeatedly attacked and overwhelmed their defenses. By 16 minutes, Yangon Galacticos was left with only their inner towers and little opportunity to fight back effectively. Team Liquid PH maintained constant pressure, ultimately forcing Yangon Galacticos to concede and taking the first game of the match.
The second game was even more challenging for Yangon Galacticos. Team Liquid PH consistently pressured them, preventing YG from taking objectives or controlling the map. To avoid falling behind, YG tried a risky move to contest the first Lord at 10 minutes, but it failed. Team Liquid PH wiped out the entire YG team, easily secured the Lord, and gained even more control of the map. They then quickly finished the game, winning in about 15 minutes.
