The ending of the 2023 film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts hinted at a future crossover with the G.I. Joe series, but actor Anthony Ramos admits he knows as little about it as fans do. While many franchises announce projects well in advance, and sometimes delay them, there’s been no official release date set for this crossover. Ramos suggests fans should express their interest to the studio to help move the project forward. He will next appear in the FX series The Beauty, which begins airing on January 21st.
When asked by MovieWeb about the status of the crossover, Ramos confessed:
Paramount should explore options for a deal or partnership. With so many companies merging or being acquired right now, they should reach out to Skydance, or any other potential buyer or partner – just contact them and start a conversation.
The Event Fans Have Waited Years For

Paramount
In the 1980s, Transformers and G.I. Joe were incredibly popular, fueled by both the toys themselves and the many cartoons they inspired. If you wanted to see characters from different brands interact, your best bet was to simply mix all your toys together and create your own adventures!
Hasbro’s Transformers and G.I. Joe toy lines sometimes included subtle references to each other in their respective media, but these were never anything major. Rise of the Beasts was the seventh live-action Transformers film, and G.I. Joe had three movies of its own. The ending of Rise of the Beasts took a surprising turn – much like the post-credits scene in Iron Man with Nick Fury – by not just hinting at the existence of the G.I. Joe organization, but actually establishing it directly.
Even though both franchises are well-loved, it’s still unclear if a crossover will ever actually happen. While some producers have confidently predicted it, the potential merger between Paramount and Skydance Media has created a lot of uncertainty about the future of both series.

FX’s new thriller, The Beauty, explores the dangerous side of the high-fashion world when supermodels start dying in shocking ways. FBI agents Cooper Madsen and Jordan Bennett are sent to Paris to investigate. They soon discover a strange virus spread through sexual contact that turns people into seemingly perfect versions of themselves, but at a terrible cost. Their investigation leads them to ‘The Corporation,’ a powerful tech billionaire played by Ashton Kutcher, who created a miracle drug called ‘The Beauty’ and will stop at nothing – even using a deadly hitman – to protect his vast fortune. As the virus spreads across the globe, a man named Jeremy finds himself caught in the middle of the chaos, searching for meaning. The agents race against time through cities like Paris, Venice, Rome, and New York to stop a threat that could change humanity forever.
