Now that Stranger Things has finished its latest season, Gaten Matarazzo’s next film, Pizza Movie, is set to premiere at the South by Southwest Festival (SXSW) from March 12th to 18th.
We currently have a brief summary and a first glimpse image. It shows five people looking down at something with puzzled expressions.
Lulu Wilson is backstage, and it seems we have two copies each of both Matarazzo and Sean Giambrone.
What to Read Next
The story begins on a Friday night with college students Jack and Montgomery, who are planning a night of drugs and pizza.
However, when the drug they made themselves is far more powerful than expected, a simple trip downstairs for pie turns into an incredibly life-changing adventure.

But seriously, what’s stopping them? It’s not exactly a smooth path – they’ve got a broken elevator to deal with, plus Montgomery’s shyness, the fact that everyone dislikes Jack, a manipulative resident advisor, a butterfly out for revenge, a robot on a mission, and a drug that completely messes with reality. It’s a lot to overcome.
Finally, the story will explain the double vision we’ve been seeing, but honestly, with a plot this strange, it could be caused by anything!
Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher wrote and directed the film. They’re both known for their work as writers on Saturday Night Live and as the comedic pair BriTANicK.

Ross Duffer, one of the creators of Stranger Things, recently shared the reason why the show concluded with a Dungeons & Dragons game played by Mike and his friends – and confirmed that the story is truly over, with no hidden or upcoming episodes.
He explained that the basement – especially the Dungeons & Dragons game they played there – is symbolic of their youth and how the audience was first introduced to them.
We had to play one last game to mark the end of it all. Filming was so much fun, and it brought us right back to the very first day when we shot the kids playing Dungeons & Dragons in Season 1. That scene was the first thing we ever filmed, so it felt fitting that it would also be our last.
Pizza Movie will premiere at SXSW in March. Stranger Things can be streamed on Netflix.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available, and it’s dedicated to the incredible Dolly Parton! You can purchase ‘Dolly at 80’ at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
