I’ve Been Waiting For Beast Games To Drop A Big Twist In Season 2. How The Survivor Crossover Delivered

Be warned: this article contains spoilers for the Beast Games Season 2 episode “The Survivor Takeover.” If you haven’t watched it yet, you can stream it with a Prime Video subscription, but proceed with caution!

After four episodes of Beast Games Season 2, and as a big fan of the first season, I was starting to feel something was missing. The first three episodes didn’t have as much of the social interaction that made Season 1 so captivating. Luckily, the recent Survivor crossover really turned things around.

It’s no surprise Jeff Probst was involved when an island was up for grabs – and now we understand why MrBeast appeared on the 50th season of Survivor. But let’s get back to the episode itself, because the recent twist was really exciting!

Jeff Probst Helped Mr. Beast Give Away His Latest Island

Jeff Probst brought MrBeast and the last remaining contestants to an island where they could compete in challenges inspired by the show Survivor, with a private island as the grand prize. After several rounds of competition, only two players remained. The final decision came down to a Tribal Council vote, and that’s where things got really exciting.

JC Predictably Lost, But Was Given A Gift That Could Change Everything

With JC and Ian as the final two, most people probably expected the outcome. JC’s controversial decision to keep a large sum of money for himself during Season 1 made it clear that the other players likely wouldn’t support him when he returned for Season 2 of Beast Games.

Beast Games Made Some Great Changes In Season 2, And I Think They Improved The Show

Honestly, I don’t think anyone – not even MrBeast himself – predicted JC would make it to the final two on the island. But I was thrilled when he did! It completely changed the game, and getting that Beast Coin was a massive turning point for him.

If JC makes it to the final round of Beast Games, he’ll get to flip the Beast Coin, which could double the grand prize to $10 million. But if he’s eliminated, that chance disappears with him. This means the other contestants need to keep JC in the game if they want the opportunity to win more money.

The most interesting part of this situation is the high stakes it creates. Players now have to decide if they can trust someone who’s proven untrustworthy, and the potential reward is a significant amount of money. While it’s possible JC could be eliminated randomly later on, I’m hoping that doesn’t happen in the episodes to come.

It’s only January, but this is already the most surprising and clever thing I’ve seen on TV this year. It’s so good, I suspect it will remain my favorite twist even at the end of 2026.
