Matt Damon’s daughter Gia, 17, ridicules his awkward red carpet pose as actor is supported by wife Luciana Barroso and their four children at the premiere of his new film The Rip

Even though Matt Damon is a famous actor, his teenage kids still tease him.

Fifty-five-year-old actor Alec Baldwin attended the New York City premiere of his new movie, “The Rip,” with his wife, Luciana, and their four daughters: Alexia, 25, Isabella, 19, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15.

With his longtime friend and co-star Ben Affleck standing with him, and his children nearby, he happily posed for several photos.

Both men looked as handsome as always in their matching suits, but Matt’s posture made his daughter, Gia, laugh.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) by Entertainment Tonight, the 17-year-old playfully teased her well-known father for his funny walk and pose as he returned to their side.

I’ll never forget it. She instantly wanted to know why he was standing so awkwardly, and then, right in front of him, she copied his posture! She hunched over and threw her arms out wide, really exaggerating it – it was so dramatic and funny to watch.

Matt didn’t seem bothered by his daughter’s playful teasing at all. He laughed and even imitated her funny impression of him.

I was so touched hearing Ben, who’s 53, talk about his friend! He really opened up to Us Weekly on the red carpet about their friendship, which has lasted for decades, and just gushed about what an amazing dad his friend is. It was really heartwarming to see.

I constantly rediscover positive qualities in Matt that I’d known all along, but somehow forgotten. It’s a regular reminder of how wonderful he is as a father and how talented he is as an actor.

The Argo actor shared that it was a joy to experience each other’s careers alongside one another. They explained, ‘It’s a real privilege to be able to work in this field, and it’s especially wonderful when you get to do it with people you love and cherish.’

Oh my gosh, you HAVE to hear about the new show my absolute favorites are doing! It’s called ‘The Rip,’ and it’s about these Miami cops who find a HUGE pile of cash – like, millions! But instead of being happy, it totally messes with their heads and they start turning on each other. It’s SO good, the tension is insane, and you just know things are going to explode. I’m already obsessed!

Ben portrays Detective Sergeant JD Byrne and Matt plays Lieutenant Dane Dumars in the Netflix police drama. Teyana Taylor, recently celebrated for her Golden Globes win on Sunday, is also joining the cast.

Matt recently shared that his wife, Luciana, initially found his brother Ben more attractive before they all met.

Matt and his wife first connected in 2003 at a Miami bar while he was filming the movie Stuck on You. They married three years later. Matt became a stepfather to her daughter, Alexia, and they later had three daughters together: Isabella, Gia, and Stella.

A few months after they started dating, Matt Damon discovered that when Luciana first watched his breakout film, Good Will Hunting, she was actually more interested in his close friend, Ben Affleck.

On Monday’s episode of The Howard Stern Show, Matt shared a true story with Ben, emphasizing its complete authenticity.

After dating for a few months, she told me a funny story. Apparently, she and her best friend from high school went to see the movie Good Will Hunting, and her friend thought I was the attractive one, while she herself preferred Matt Damon’s character, Ben.

‘So she admitted to me… I’m like, ‘You got the wrong one?’ She told me that 23 years ago.’

Matt shared that the experience has stayed with them over time, explaining that he now frequently collaborates with Ben and Rip as his wife is producing their upcoming film, Animals.

He explained that she’s both a talented producer and a close friend, but he sensed she was upset with him, likely due to something he did personally.

‘Finally she met him and all that went away,’ he quipped.

Matt and Ben wrote and starred in the popular 1997 movie that won them an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and Robin Williams won Best Supporting Actor for his role in it.

In their recent interview, Matt and Ben talked about how surprisingly they both became famous in their twenties.

Matt explained that becoming famous can hinder personal growth because people start treating you differently.

We were fortunate to be a bit older – in our mid-twenties – because we’d had enough life experience that we didn’t immediately stand out or draw attention to ourselves when entering a new situation.

The two finished the thought in unison, bluntly adding, ‘And nobody gave a s**t.’
