Garena has teamed up with the hit anime series Jujutsu Kaisen for a special event in their popular battle royale game, Free Fire. The ‘Jujutsu Awakening’ event, running until February 13th, brings elements from the anime into the game, including a Jujutsu High School setting, unique character outfits, and special abilities inspired by Jujutsu techniques.

Free Fire x Jujutsu Kaisen collab introduces fan-favorite Jujutsu techniques

I’m surprised to say this, but Free Fire is doing a fantastic job with its collaborations, even better than many other games. The latest collab lets you collect something called ‘Cursed Energy’ within a redesigned Free Fire world, which you can then use to unlock special abilities inspired by the Jujutsu Kaisen series. You can even check out a version of Jujutsu High School inside the game!

This event features five powerful Jujutsu techniques, including Yuji Itadori’s Divergent Fist, Satoru Gojo’s Unlimited Void and Hollow Purple, Ryomen Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine, and Ember Insects. You can earn and unlock these techniques by collecting tokens and making progress in the event, then use them in Battle Royale and Clash Squad.

Get ready to harness Cursed Energy weapons and Domain Expansions in Free Fire

In the game, players can now collect Cursed Energy to get stronger. You earn it by defeating enemies, finding loot around the map, or using vending machines – similar to how it works in Fortnite. This energy can be used to improve your Hammers or unlock powerful Jujutsu skills. Plus, enhanced Revival Points let you quickly get back into the fight after being defeated.

In Clash Squad, players can purchase Cursed Energy Weapons and Jujutsu items each round. Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen will especially enjoy the new Unlimited Void and Malevolent Shrine Domain Expansions, which are obtainable through Cyber Airdrops. Many weapons have also been given a visual makeover inspired by the series.

After successfully claiming a Cyber Drop, you’ll also have the option to purchase a Level 3 Hammer. This cursed tool lets you engage in intense, close-quarters supernatural battles, similar to those seen in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Play as your favorite JJK characters while exploring the reimagined Jujutsu High School

Similar to past collaborations, this one includes character packs, weapon skins, and special rewards. Plus, I’m excited to return to the game because we’ll actually be able to play as characters like Itadori, Megumi, Nobara, Gojo, and even Sukuna! They’ll all have voice lines from the anime and cool animated moves.

What really stands out is how each themed pack showcases different aspects of the characters – even Sukuna has two packs featuring his various looks. Beyond characters, you can also get items inspired by Cursed Energy, like the Groza – Yuji Itadori skin, plus collectible extras like a special Gloo Wall, vehicle designs, backpacks, and fun emotes.

One of the best parts of the update is the incredible new area inspired by Jujutsu High School from the anime. As a big fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I’m really excited to check out this beautifully designed and detailed location.

I’m excited about this new Free Fire collaboration, just like I was with previous partnerships like BLUELOCK, Demon Slayer, One Punch Man, and Devil May Cry 5, and I think players will really enjoy it. Plus, there are lots of free items available, including the Yuji Itadori Bundle, a special Battle Card, Nanami’s Glasses, and a JJK-themed Monster Truck.
