Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz were seen looking very much in love while holding hands at their local farmers’ market on Tuesday. This came just after reports surfaced explaining why Brooklyn recently sent a legal notice to his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

Recently, the Daily Mail reported that Brooklyn Beckham has asked his parents to communicate with him only through their legal representatives.

The 26-year-old chef asked his parents not to reach out to him and to refrain from posting about him on social media.

Reports indicate the letter was written to safeguard his well-being, as posts on social media featuring David and Victoria, where he was tagged or mentioned, had been upsetting to him.

Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola, 31, were recently seen enjoying time with her brother Bradley. Brooklyn dressed casually for the outing, wearing a black graphic tee and denim shorts.

He slung a sweater over his shoulder, slipped on some slippers, and carried a bag of groceries.

He shielded himself from the sun with black sunglasses and a Cloud9 baseball cap. 

Meanwhile Nicola, 31, looked cosy in a white fur jacket with blue jeans and heeled boots. 

The pair appeared in good spirits as they walked down the street holding hands. 

Apparently, Nicola received a positive reaction to a social media comment suggesting Brooklyn was becoming part of a wonderful family.

The ongoing conflict has intensified, and The Sun newspaper is now reporting that she has been reacting positively to certain comments on her recent social media posts.

One comment reportedly read: ‘I’m glad Brooklyn was able to join such a nice family.’

Someone who knew her mentioned they were saddened to hear the news, but pointed out that private relationships are complicated. They believe there’s a good reason why Brooklyn isn’t in contact with his parents.

‘No child would ever choose to cut off their parents without good reason.’ 

Brooklyn reportedly prefers to handle any efforts to make amends in private, away from social media.

According to a source, the disagreement worsened because his pleas to make it stop were not heeded.

They explained that his decision stemmed from struggles with his mental health, and was ultimately a way to protect himself.

According to a source, Brooklyn feels his parents still treat him like a child rather than an adult.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Brooklyn and his parents for comment.

The row escalated on Saturday when Nicola wiped all traces of the Beckhams from her Instagram.

In contrast, Brooklyn has not followed suit.

Shortly after, Nicola emphasized that her family was her top priority, affectionately calling them ‘her crew’ and sharing heartwarming photos of them together.

Over the weekend Nicola erased all content of the Beckham family from her Instagram account. 

In 2024, when Victoria celebrated her 50th birthday, she received many heartwarming messages from loved ones and fans, including one from Nicola.

Speculation about a rift between the actress and Victoria began after Nicola’s lavish wedding to Brooklyn in April 2022.

Rumors started circulating after reports claimed Nicola Peltz refused to wear a dress designed by Victoria Beckham, choosing gowns from Valentino, Christian Dior, and Versace instead.

While wedding preparations were happening, sources claimed Victoria was upset that Nicola didn’t want her to be very involved in planning the extravagant event.

Reports suggest the Beckhams weren’t prominently featured at the wedding, which reportedly upset Victoria. A source told the Daily Mail that the head table was entirely made up of Peltz family members, and it seemed like the Beckhams weren’t a central focus.

It felt like the wedding focused heavily on the Peltz family, which was understandable since it was held at their home and featured speeches by their daughter and son.

Nicola later admitted the talk started because she hadn’t worn one of Victoria’s designs. Although she said there wasn’t a disagreement between them, she explained that Victoria’s team was simply too busy to make the dress, adding that ‘no family is perfect’.

Nicola explained that she doesn’t think there’s a feud, despite seeing that word used a lot to describe the situation. She wonders if people have misinterpreted something and are now calling it a feud.

It all began, as I’ve mentioned before, with the wedding dress. I really wanted to wear Victoria’s dress – I thought it was stunning – and I was so touched that Brooklyn’s mom offered to make it for me.

I was genuinely thrilled about the dress and really wanted to wear it. It’s upsetting to see people claim I never intended to, because that’s simply not the case. I really had been looking forward to it, but ultimately didn’t get the chance.

Nicola and Brooklyn largely stayed away from the Beckhams for several months, consistently denying any conflict – but that changed recently.

Last month, Cruz revealed that his family had blocked him on all social media platforms, after it was reported they had previously stopped following his accounts.

He clarified the situation in a recent post, stating that his parents would never unfriend him. He explained that they – and he himself – were unexpectedly blocked from seeing each other’s content.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Brooklyn for comment on Cruz’s claims. 

This was the clearest indication so far that they aren’t speaking to each other as their family conflict continues to worsen.

Last summer, David and Victoria Beckham’s relationship with their son, Brooklyn, became severely strained. The Daily Mail reported that Brooklyn was so upset he asked his parents to communicate with him through his lawyers for a period of time.

Despite a falling out with his parents, he reportedly stays in regular touch with his grandparents on both sides of the family.

Brooklyn asked his parents to respect his privacy by not contacting him and refraining from discussing him on social media.

They hadn’t taken any legal steps against each other, and the letter itself wasn’t based on any legal grounds – it was just a simple request.

However, this came after what Brooklyn saw as a string of unpleasant reports about his wife, Nicola. These reports included claims that he was being manipulated and controlled by her, and even that he was essentially a hostage in the relationship.

Throughout the week, people close to the situation – including publicists and friends of those involved – remained silent, hoping the issue would de-escalate and a resolution could be reached.

According to one source, David was instructed to communicate through the law firm Schillings, and that was the only permitted method of contact.

Brooklyn blocking his family on social media right before Christmas could be connected to him seeking legal advice.

Despite recent family difficulties, the father of four appeared positive, sharing cheerful photos from his snowy walks with his dogs.

David was taking selfies, bundled up in a warm tweed jacket and hat.

He continued to use his walking stick as he walked through the snow-covered grounds of his large home in the Cotswolds.

He shared photos with the caption: ‘Great weekend getaway in the countryside, though Simba wasn’t thrilled with the cold weather.’

While fans commented on David’s picturesque view, others mentioned his estranged son Brooklyn.

One wrote: ‘Oldest son, someday he’ll regret (be strong)’; ‘Stay strong papa’;
