For 67 years, the Grammys have updated their awards for artistic achievement to keep up with how people listen to music. This year, they’re bringing back an award for best album cover, recognizing the importance of visual art in today’s digital music world.

Grammy executive producer Ben Winston announced Tuesday that Trevor Noah will return to host the show for a sixth and final time, expressing his excitement about it, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Winston went on to call Noah “the most phenomenal host.”

The producer described him as incredibly intelligent, hilarious, and a genuine music enthusiast. They emphasized his remarkable contribution to the show and expressed excitement about collaborating with him for a final performance.

Awards

The Oscars often argue about whether an actor played a leading or supporting role. The Emmys struggle to define what exactly counts as a comedy. Now, the Grammys might face similar issues with artists being unfairly categorized.

The official Grammys Instagram account also confirmed the news.

“It’s music’s BIGGEST night and he’s on a generational run,” the caption reads.

As a music fan, I’m excited to share that the 68th Grammy Awards are heading back to Los Angeles! Mark your calendars for February 1st – the show will be live from Crypto.com Arena and you can catch it on CBS or stream it on Paramount+ starting at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

This year’s Grammys is going to be a big change! It’s Noah’s last time hosting, and it’s also the last time it’ll be on CBS – they’ve been our home for over 50 years, since 1973! Soon, the show is moving to Disney for the next decade. Starting in 2027, we’ll be able to watch the Grammys on ABC, Hulu, and Disney+.

Music

Six artists nominated for Grammy Awards – including producers, songwriters, and those up for Best New Artist – came together to talk about feeling like a fraud, how they approach making music, and what it’s like becoming famous in 2025.

Kendrick Lamar received the most nominations for the 2026 Grammys, with a total of nine, including nods for both Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Lady Gaga, along with producers Cirkut and Jack Antonoff, were close behind, each earning seven nominations.

Noah is nominated for a Grammy Award this year for reading his children’s book, “Into the Uncut Grass,” as an audiobook.
