TLPH coach Ar Sy discussed the team’s defeat against SRG during Day 4 of the Swiss Stage at the M7 World Championship.
Wow, Day 4 at the MLBB M7 World Championship was insane! Team Liquid PH and Selangor Red Giants went head-to-head in what honestly felt like the finals already. Both teams played their hearts out trying to get into the knockout stage, but Selangor Red Giants ultimately took the win. It’s tough to see TLPH lose, but they’ll get another chance in Round 4 to fight for a spot in the next stage. I’m really excited to see how it all plays out!
After the game, TLPH coach Rodel “Ar Sy” B. Cruz said the team plans to improve and perform better in the future.
SRG outplays TLPH to lock in M7 knockout stage spot
TLPH, one of the Philippines’ top Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports teams, lost to SRG in Round 3 of the M7 Swiss Stage. This match was crucial, as the winner would advance to the knockout stage, making it a high-pressure game for both sides.
TLPH took the first game in their best-of-three match, but it was a tough fight. SRG’s Innocent surprised everyone by playing Sora, a character typically used in different positions. Though his team lost, Innocent achieved an impressive multi-kill streak. TLPH recovered and won the second game, but ultimately lost the third, ending their run in the series.
Coach Ar Sy reflects on the loss against SRG
Even after a difficult performance in the M7 Swiss Stage, coach Ar Sy stayed calm and understood what went wrong. He explained they knew SRG would be a strong opponent. He also recognized his Malaysian team was eager to prove themselves against top competitors and show they could win.
The TLPH coach told me they’re really motivated to beat us, especially because of how well we’ve been doing in international competitions. It’s clear they see us as a big challenge!
Despite the disappointing loss, the team had a range of reactions. While some players appeared upset, others were smiling. Coach Ar Sy acknowledged the sadness, but also emphasized the positive takeaways, stating that the team gained valuable experience and believes they can grow from this game.
Despite the loss, the TLPH coach stated the team remains confident as they move forward in the Swiss Stage. They anticipated tough competition from M7, and their match against SRG confirmed that expectation. TLPH is now focused on their next opponent, planning to use what they learned to improve and implement new strategies.
