Jennifer Lawrence has claimed that she identifies as a ‘stay-at-home mom’.
You know, people always assume my life is non-stop glamour, but honestly, it’s pretty peaceful most of the time! As a mom to Cy, who’s three, and my little one who turned one last year, and with my husband Cooke, I really only get swept up in craziness when I’m promoting a film. The rest of the time, I truly cherish a quiet, simple life at home.
She recently shared on the Smartless podcast that while she considers herself a stay-at-home mom, she is also actively working.
It’s unusual for me to be this busy. I typically only have intense periods of work for about three months when I’m filming, but even then, it feels manageable because I can focus solely on that one thing.
My days are pretty repetitive – I go to work, come home, and sleep, then repeat the cycle. The two weeks spent on promotion are especially busy and stressful.
The Hunger Games actress revealed she stops doing interviews after 9 p.m. because that’s when she goes to bed.

She said: ‘Oh. I’m in bed. Kindle is lit until like 9:15.’
Jennifer declined a Christmas party invitation because it didn’t start until 9 p.m., and she didn’t want to be hungover while spending time with her kids.
Let me tell you, as someone who’s navigated the early years of motherhood, a hangover simply isn’t in the cards when you have a baby – especially one under nine months! Honestly, even when they’re a bit older, like three, you really can’t afford to be out of commission. It’s just not realistic when little ones need you around the clock.
The actress also shared that she and her husband, Cooke, have discovered what keeps their marriage strong.
Jennifer explained that she and Cooke have very different personalities, but becoming a parent has helped her become more flexible.
She said: ‘I married somebody who is the opposite of me. He is so organised. He’s an anchor.
I’ve really got to stay on top of things around here. It’s all about order, so I have to be diligent about keeping the closet doors shut, and I pour all my energy into my little tasks – I work so hard to get them done just right.
Oh, now I understand! The children have a really tight schedule – things like breakfast are at exactly 7:30.
He’s generally good at maintaining a steady mood, but we’ve realized that to make our marriage work, we each need about fifteen minutes of flexibility and understanding.
Jennifer cited having attention deficit disorder (ADD) as to why she struggles with tight timing.

She said: ‘I think I should go to, like, occupational therapy for that.’
Jennifer and her husband, Cooke, attended the Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday night, marking a rare public appearance for the couple.
The actress turned heads in a daring ‘naked dress’ which showed off her incredible figure.
Sarah Burton of Givenchy created a sheer dress adorned with intricate pink, ivory, and green floral embroidery, offering a revealing look.
She wore a gown adorned with delicately embroidered flowers, and a matching satin cape was draped over her shoulders.
Jennifer’s dress featured cut-outs in the sheer fabric, and she wore tall, nude heels that made her legs look longer.
She was sporting bangs on the night which framed her pretty features.
Oh my gosh, I almost didn’t recognize him! Cooke, the gallery director – he’s 41, can you believe it? – looked SO sharp in a black tux. And get this, he was sitting RIGHT NEXT to Jennifer at the table! I swear, I could barely breathe when I saw them together. It was a perfect sight!
One fan gushed, ‘Jennifer Lawrence looks absolutely stunning!’
Jennifer playfully told ET that she was planning to relax at the after-parties, joking, ‘I’m already comfortable, so I might as well enjoy it!’ She also shared that her kids would rather she be at home with them.
Lawrence hasn’t made such a daring fashion choice on the red carpet in years. The last time was back in 2017, when she wowed everyone at the London premiere of Mother with a see-through, textured gown by Atelier Versace.
In the film Die My Love, alongside Robert Pattinson, Jennifer Lawrence plays Grace, a woman struggling with depression after giving birth.

The actress shared that being a mother herself, to two children, allowed her to really understand and portray the character.
In November, Lawrence told People magazine that her postpartum anxiety didn’t become severe until after she had her second child.
Honestly, learning about what babies and young children really need has been a game-changer for me. You absolutely don’t need to be a parent yourself to portray one convincingly, but understanding their world – what they’re looking for, what they require – adds such a rich, believable layer to any performance. It’s like unlocking a whole new level of authenticity.
‘Just having that information was helpful.’
